Speedie Dived Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 We have been playing better recently. The question is why? Could it be a return to more of a direct style of play? Could it be the introduction of an assistant manager who came in and immediately saw the frailties in the team and patterns of play that our bright young manager could not? It seems to me that the introduction of Clement and better performance go hand in hand. Another notch on Kean's ever growing list of short comings. He is the pits, his tactics were useless and still are. It's taken someone else to come in yet Kean will get the plaudits if we start winning a few. I really wish I could go back to just being a fan, instead of almost becoming an investigative journalist trying to find out what is really happening at our beloved Rovers and why this pillock is still the voice of the Rovers. One reason we are playing better is our fitness. We are without doubt fitter now, the Sausage and Jockey were fitter than us at the start of the season. When your manager is saying the season starts on the 22nd August you are always going to be struggling with fitness

Tony Diamond Inc Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 Wenger's not lying, that's defending your team. Standing in court giving the wrong name of a pub, the wrong start date of a season and saying a fan spiked him is bare faced lying. Or Alex (I had diarrhoea) Ferguson!
47er Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 Thanks, I'm quite clever, not up to Stephen Fry levels, but clever enough to form my own opinions. I will always have more in common with you, and the rest of the anti-Kean mob just through the blue and white halves. However I believe it needs a step back from the flames to see that he is improving, and the team will go onto much better things. Now whilst I would never accuse any of the (quite obviously bright) posters on here of being sheep, I would ask you to analyse the situation from a different perspective. My peace and love continues. Kean's team will go on to the Championship. We'll get about 32 points if he stays. That's my prediction based on 31 games. Hoilett is on his way out, either in January or May and I strongly suspect Samba will go in January based on Kean's rather odd remarks. After that, loads will leave. Can't see any reason for optimism at all. But--stiff upper lip old chap, you keep believing.

I think thats a big factor. MGP's long throws, up and under freekicks, ball lumped forward more and virtually everytime Robbo gets the ball its banged as far forward as he can. Yes we do have more of a passing game and some very good long passes and there has been a lot more longball.

Could the problem have been John Jensen?
Speedie Dived Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 Or Alex (I had diarrhoea) Ferguson! You are totally missing the point. It's not tit for tat on managerial driving faults, or saying all managers lie. It's about judging one person fairly on their results, their words and their actions. Kean fails on all 3.

yoda Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 Granada reports. 19mins 20 secs in. What is it Den, the prog is blocked outside the UK
Speedie Dived Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 No doubt there, again only since Clement came in matey I think the credit should go towards the lad from City, his name escapes me, local lad. Things seem to have picked up since he arrived.
BigAlan Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 Could the problem have been John Jensen? Yep, a Kean appointed assistant (yeah right) yet Venky's/Anderson were the ones to fire him. What strong, decisive manager we have in charge.

It's about judging one person fairly on their results, their words and their actions. Kean fails on all 3. Perhaps you are missing my point. I am merely illustrating the point that Kean should be judged on football related matters only. Any non footballing issues, which may bring into question his integrity, should not be slung into the debate. Too often I have seen the term 'liar' bandied about, so I defend him on that basis. Thanks for your tat Speedie, now feel my tit

Thanks for your tat Speedie, now feel my tit Ha ha, i will kindly pass on the tit offer, but thanks. Sorry, i was judging the football related issues on his results, words and actions. 1. Results = just too obvious to mention. 2. Words = Champs League, Europe, Top 10 side, Ronaldhio, Beckham. 3. Actions = Big Sam stitched up, Jensen stitched up and Hoilett contract
yoda's brother Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 What is it Den, the prog is blocked outside the UK bro just the usual. banners banned, fly past, kean talking a boad of lollocks etc.

roverandout Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 the more this guy opens his mouth, the more i despise him, he seems to put his foot in it every time he speaks, i cant really bare to listen to any of his interviews anymore because when i do, i have the urge to throw a brick at the tv screen.

rover1995 Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 I hate the utter, utter ####. Get him out of our football club NOW. We want our Rovers back!!
Mc Love Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 Apologies if this offends anyone but is Steve Kean retarded? Deluded he cant be - because of some of the stuff he comes out with. I just want to strangle the lil'f###er
47er Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 Venkys should keep Kean on just like Utd did with Fergy says Kean---------20 Premierships for sure! http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/3915959/Steve-Kean-I-should-stay-Blackburn-boss-for-ages.html#comment-rig There'll be no club left mate--certainly very few supporters. Guardian published a list of Premier league clubs' attendances today. We are 8% down on last year! Only 2 clubs fared worse----Villa and Wolves. Writings on the wall (or in the sky!)
Veevs Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 This has probably been posted but just in case it was overlooked. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=940PwbiO7yI Yeah typical writers from a few papers there, not much postive on Rovers.. one minor mistake though that I have seen made a few times.. Kean was 1st team coach not the number 2 i.e. assistant manager he does not even have that experience.

Kean was 1st team coach not the number 2 i.e. assistant manager he does not even have that experience. Actually I thought that was a very fair assessment of our position. The players aren't awful and we should be able to survive but we won't if Kean stays much longer, and because the owners have no idea what they are doing in footballing terms they will probably wait too long to do anything seemed to be the gist of what they were saying and all but the most ostrich like of our fans can see that too.

It's like he's in a completion with himself to find the most deluded statement possible. I think he'll win. The good news is I no longer get and stick from mates and work colleagues. EVERYONE knows what I think of him and agrees!
