Backroom Tom Posted October 1, 2011 Backroom Posted October 1, 2011 Im just waiting for breaking news on SSN...... I can see it now Breaking news: Blackburn Rovers appoint new assitant manager.
broadsword Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 Yes Beerwins we should aim our anger at the owners, they are the root cause, Kean is the symptom. I'm not so sure. My suspicion is that they're terminally thick, and have been used big-time first by Kentaro and then by Kean. I doubt they'll bequeath much of a business to their kids. As someone said before, maybe Kean has compromising info on them (are they still injunctions active against the press?) Maybe they can't afford (in all sorts of ways) to sack him. The only way that Kean will go is if life is made unbearable for him. He;s pure scum.
beerwins Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 Im just waiting for breaking news on SSN...... I read the other day some chap can hold his breath for 10 mins, I feel if you started now you break his record with ease before Kean gets the bullet. I saw the owners reaction when we beat Arsenal, they were so happy for Kean it was like he was the third brother, I get the feeling that while the owners are here Kean will still be boss.
BRFCfor83 Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 Just heard his post match interview, the guy is seriously deluded. I'd rather he did no interview at all than an interview pretending everything is fine and dandy!!!!
PAFELL Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 You'er on sky sports asking rovers supporters to phone is asking us to tell them who we want to replace Kean.
sweet Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 Most managers after a humiliating defeat refuse to speak to the press immediately after, or send someone else out to do so. But never our stevie!
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 Didn't bother going, went to Manchester instead. Walked past dozens of pubs with the game on, just keep walking. Breaks my heart to feel like that, I'm 62 now and I've been a Rover all my life. I just don't need the stress anymore. You can survive with a good team and a bad manager and you can survive with a bad team and a good manager. Bad team and a bad manager, you're doomed. It's simpler to change the manager than change the team. Any one for Holloway from Blackpool ? Would he come ? That's how low we've sunk in a mere 9 months !
beerwins Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 Just heard his post match interview, the guy is seriously deluded. I'd rather he did no interview at all than an interview pretending everything is fine and dandy!!!! I can say this from the interview, it was the first time when questioned about his future he did'nt say he had the owners backing 100% and he looked a very weary figure.
Plastic Head Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 Well done to the fans that stayed behind Thank you. My take on the day, after some quiet contemplation: BOOO Yes, it was sad to see stewards and a Rovers fan fighting in the Jack Walker Upper when the fan was demonstrating. Over zealous stewarding today by Rovers Head of security post match....uncalled for. It was in the lower. They could have given it another 10-15 minutes, it's not like it was nasty or ewt.
92er Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 A couple of things interested me at the end of the game. Robinson, in particular, went towards the Blackburn end-followed by Pedersen-and clapped the fans. Both seemed to get a good response back from the fans. When other players were coming off, they also clapped the fans in the Jack Walker Stands. It seemed to suggest they were sympathising with us. As the players came off, there was no acknowledgement between them and Kean. Indeed although this is not the first time-I have noticed it in most league games so far-it continues.

Robbo pointed to the badge, not something I have noticed him do before. Sign of solidarity with the fans?
texasrover Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 It really makes my stomach turn hearing this stuff. "But I think we have to put it in perspective. For the first 55 minutes the shape of our team was good and we minimised their chances." Perspective? PERSPECTIVE!?!? Since when was the bits of the game we played ok in more important than the outcome of the game?! From my perspective I see a lucky win at arsenal and an absolute pile of games that we've LOST. I don't care if we played like Brazil in all those games (which we didn't), we still lost them. THAT'S perspective, mr. kean. From the player's point of view, they probably can see how their manager is untouchable and so probably go out their trying to win it for themselves. But when something goes wrong in the game they become frustrated and depressed because they know that they have no leadership. Heck, they don't even have assistant leadership anymore! It's all become one very sad and depressing joke.

I thought Pedersen's clapping was the most constructive thing he did all game. At least he and Robbo stayed out to clap the fans, the rest of the team just walked off rather sheepishly.

I can only imagine what it must be like as a Rovers player right now. Riding a sinking ship that you're not allowed to get off or even kick off the captain
Waggy76 Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 This may have been asked before on this thread , if it has i apologise .... Was Mr John Williams there today ???

chris Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 as everyones angry at kean nobody has really talked about the players, I'll do my rating thang: Robbo 6: A couple of good saves but 4 goals demotes his score Lowe: 6: Better then Salgado but tough gig Samba: 7: he was the reason we were in the game as long as we were, without him I think it would have been 5 or 6 Dann 6: same old really not amazing not terrible Givet 6: Much better then normal Holliet 6: Only threat really going forward, disapeared all second half Petrovic 3: slow, disapeared, wasteful, did I say SSSLLLOOOWWWW Nzonzi: 6: A better player on the pitch, I been disappointed with him ,but saw some good things today Pedersen 6: No doubt he covered ground but some of his passing was off Goodwillie 4: Its not that he didn;t try hard, its just his exsistance was pointless, he didn't cross, he didn't shoot he didn't do anything but try. Yakubu 5: you can see why he gets dropped because he needs feeding, he's not a Dickov or Bellamy that will work his socks off, and was a little slow on his only chance. Formica 5: by the time we conceded four the whole games pointless.
Backroom Tom Posted October 1, 2011 Backroom Posted October 1, 2011 I felt for the Yak today, really feeding off scraps but did really well to get a couple of shots away, took a little too long with one in the first half though. Pedersen put a real shift in but made a few costly mistakes.
novella Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 The thing that annoys me is he will be kicking back with a bottle of red looking forward to his holiday in india. ###### smug Scottish tosser. Hope he gets blown up in india. It's personal for me now. Ruined football for me

Hope he gets blown up in india. It's personal for me now. Ruined football for me Bit harsh that, why do Indian structure's have to suffer. Get him over there, sack him, take his passport and his plane ticket and give him a pair of water wings.

mozsupportsrovers Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 Today was awful Plan A was to not concede but at the same time there was no Plan B to score Kean was spineless in the second half, didn't show his face once, a disgrace. The biggest disgrace of all is Venky's though as they have not sacked him yet Kean Out!
