chris_h Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 100% agree with this...the wolves players are rotten! I don't want a single one of them! I want our two signings to be Jones and Perch too I wouldn't mind that Boko but otherwise, yes you're right. Especially Henry, a poor man's Terry Hurlock.
Backroom Tom Posted June 24, 2013 Backroom Posted June 24, 2013 Gallagher............Not good enough for Leicester therefore not good enough for us. I'm all for having people here that genuinely care for the club but I'd put it behind ability as a priority. Having said that I think he would do ok enough as a replacement for Gomes if we could shift him but there are countless others that would do the same I just hope he's someone we would genuinely want regardless of background and not just a cheap win for the club otherwise its a dangerous precedent His upside is he can put in a decent ball, takes a nice free kick and has an average goal return in this league, in the 'could do worse - should aim for better' category for me but if the manager wants him he should be backed.
patrickvalery Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 I wouldn't mind that Boko but otherwise, yes you're right. Especially Henry, a poor man's Terry Hurlock. Terry Hurlock. What an animal. I knew someone who was a trainee at Southampton and he used to clean Hurlocks boots. One day he asked this lad to grab something out of his motor for him. Kev went out into the training ground car park with a set of keys and realised he had no idea what Hurlock drove. He looked about and saw many state of the art cars (this was early 90's so i forget the exact models) and then realised the key was a Ford key. Turned out that Hurlock drove a white escort van!!
Backroom Mike E Posted June 24, 2013 Backroom Posted June 24, 2013 Gallagher............Not good enough for Leicester therefore not good enough for us. Samba: Not good enough for Hertha Berlin's B team..... Tugay: Not good enough for Rangers..... As far as I'm aware, Gally has proven himself pretty decent at THIS level, but had a massive falling out with management at Leicester? Doesn't he have something like a 1 in 4 scoring record? Better than Badcock or Gomes for us so far.

Gallagher wasn't good enough for our team at the same time as we where signing relatively un-heard of players like samba, nelsen,etc... your right he has proven to be an adequate squad player at this level, but as things stand do we really need him, personally I think Goodwillie has more to offer than Gallagher not to mention judge, Taylor, rochina, nunes, morten, dunn, josh king, morris, C Jerome, Markus Olsson(and formica, Rosado, martin olsson whilst there still here) all capable of playing in various wide and attacking positions(and out of that lot theres only Markus Olsson, that I don't rate at all).
Brfcrule1 Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 I wouldn't mind that Boko but otherwise, yes you're right. Especially Henry, a poor man's Terry Hurlock. Chris I think you are thinking of bakary Sakho Wolves winger did really well at this level however we already have Taylor,King,MGP, Nunes etc... as wingers I don't think that is a priority
rog of the rovers Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Dwight Gayle from Posh impressed at Ewood last year and in the league in general. I'd be surprised if no-one goes in for him. Would be better than Wells IMO.

Jerome? Have I missed something?
Therm Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 The signing of Dave Jones has gone a little quiet. I see Wolves have had an offer accepted for Luke Murphy, I have also read that there are a couple of championship sides also interested. I hope we are one of these.
neophox Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Frederic Veseli, Swiss international defender set to sign for Rovers.
T.J.Newton Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Think he means Cameron Stewart Thats the one, nippy little player, i think he improve this year
patrickvalery Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Frederic Veseli, Swiss international defender set to sign for Rovers.Where have you heard this neophox? Another freebie just serves to highlight the mess we're in. But not really unexpected I suppose. This seems a strange one. A quick google search shows he was highly thought of at United and put in some very impressive performances. No one seems to know why he was released. Maybe his attitude wasn't all that.
Ricky Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Or you look on it as it being an international player coming in on a free. Could be a good one for all we know.
Pelio Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Where have you heard this neophox? Another freebie just serves to highlight the mess we're in. But not really unexpected I suppose. In the LT apparently.... Could be a useful utility player, Kammy has tweeted this link - http://hereisthecity.com/2013/06/08/vr-the-rise-and-fall-of-manchester-uniteds-frederic-veseli/
CapeTownRover Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 So is this the utility player and not Perch? you sound disappointed.. i too was hoping for Perch though
Ricky Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Could be a good one. Just because he can't break into uniteds team doesn't mean he isn't good enough for us.
CapeTownRover Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 btw, i thought the Utility player was still attached to a club. Am i right in saying, that Veseli is a free agent and unattached? so Perch could still be the utility player, with Veseli maybe looked at as a possible left back, should Olsson and Givet leave?
blueboy3333 Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Another one Bowyer would have seen a lot in the youth/reserves for City and United. Obviously rates him and he won't be on stupid money like Perch. Signing talented 20yr olds on free transfers is exactly the right policy.
davulsukur Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Not disappointed, i am happy if Bowyer thinks he is good enough.Perch is proven at Championship football, settled in the uk etc that's all.

Guest Norbert Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 The Swiss guy seems worth a punt, since he is also on a free. That article seems to suggest he wants to play which is a good thing.
