Al
Cricket used to represent all that is sporting in the world until the Australians introduced sledging. Nobody minds witty remarks but the Australians have corrupted this to nastiness and unfortunately the rest of the world has started to do the same thing. Golf is the only game where sportsmanship still prevails.

FGS5635
Well at least the tour is ending with a bit of class http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/cricket/england-cricket-star-matt-prior-3000117#.Us0nBH0TY0s.twitter
Guest Norbert
Drop KP. He may be a very good batsman on occasion, but he has consistently been an egotistical tw_t who has been disruptive and poisonous. Send him to his Indian Corruption League. His only interest is Kevin Pietersen, and the fame and suchlike has gone to his head. And get rid of Flower and Gooch too.
broadsword
Apparently Flower wants rid of Pietersen. Is this the end of KP? If it's him or Flower that has to go, I can't see them binning Flower.
FGS5635
If its him or Flower, then flower has to go. The england team is boring enough, without ridding it of the 1 guy actually worth watching
jim mk2
Pietersen's the best batsman in the side and is still a significant asset if he is properly handled. Flower was in charge of this debacle and should be the one to depart.
FGS5635
If cook/flower where any good at their jobs then they'd be able to manage KP
Guest Norbert
Pietersen had tried to engineer Moores' removal during a foreign tour, sent texts to the Saffers slating Strauss, demanded the right to pick and choose when he plays and now this. Being an occasionally good batsman does not mean he can do whatever he wants and be bigger than everyone else including the coach. Otherwise we may as well make him captain, head coach and chief selector. Kevin is on the slide, and his ego is out of control. Again. Get rid. jim mk2
This is like blaming the unions and the workers for the demise of manufacturing when the real culprits were the incompetent and confrontational buffoons in the boardroom who were unable and unwilling to manage labour relations properly. The failure of any enterprise in business or sport stems from the top and Flower and his assistants have been found wanting.
broadsword
When he was captain he tried to get rid of the batting coach ... who was Flower. I think Flower should go also. England go onto the field with the wrong approach of trying to strangle the game. Cook can't stand up to Flower for whatever reason. England need to get back to basics and drill them in big time and forget micro-managing diet and all of that nonsense. A mung bean curry ain't much help when Johnson's sending down howitzers. Tyrone Shoelaces
Just been on the news that Broad and Prior have been involved in talking a guy down who was threatening to commit suicide ! My money's on it being Flower.

SouthAussieRover
Or maybe a guy who has no interest in cricket..but has reached a low point in his life. Just as well Prior and Broad were walking past him.
dave birch
or a guy that can see an opportunity in a country other than that of his birth. Not that was me, I started on an adventure, and liked what I saw, and the rest, they say, is history. however, it's 1-0 in the one dayers, but that's the way the lottery goes
jim mk2
Living down there in that climate would drive anyone to the brink... Anyhoo, back to the cricket. At least England's women are holding their ends up, so to speak.

Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted January 17, 2014 Moderation Lead Share Posted January 17, 2014 We've been absolutely gash this series, and a lot needs to change.
Tyrone Shoelaces
I'm not interested in the "Tip and Run " cricket, even when we win them. Test matches or nothing for me.
