He'll be straight onto the MOTD panel with the other ex-Rover slaphead Alan Shearer. Alan is boring but at least he did it on the pitch. Not like Murphy, who was only moderately talented at Premier league level.

Should have heard him on talksport this morning, christ, there was some serious piping each other off between him and Colin Murray...

Murphy took us for a ride, should be ashamed of himself, clearly wasn't good/fit enough to continue putting a shift in

Sums up so much that is nauseous about football culture. There really does seem to be no shame, merely self indulgence and flattery.Murray is such n unctuous toad!

I heard Redknapp on his show( someone turned over from Radio 4!!!) trying to justify the timing of his..er...book with his comments about England players, wanting 'Arry to get the national job etc in the very week before the qualifying fixtures.." It's not my fault, they chose to launch the book this week..." and then....after his vociferous ( and reasonable) complaints that The Sun were tipped off and accompanied the police to the dawn raid of his home, he is quite happy to make dirty money writing articles for the same rag...You couldn't make it up!

This is the culture that colluded with Kean and vilified Rovers fans...

OOPS, Looks like you touched that nerve again...

Murray is probably a Liverpool fan or something, don't suppose he asked him about his time at Rovers/ charlton and was it Spurs? A flop

at all of them but that's now over looked. He wouldn't get a look in at the beeb if he didn't have Kean style connections no matter who he'd played for. How long before the pair of them rock up together on the screen, sat grinning on the sofa.
