Tell you what, it takes a brave manager to drop Jess Carter after these racism allegations - even if she has been an absolute liability this tournament.

I've no real interest in the Lionesses but Sarina Wiegman wouldn't really be doing her job properly if this girl didn't deserve her place on footballing merit but was retained solely because she had been racially abused.

The only thing she'll have to factor in is whether the others might down tools in protest if she drops Carter. You would hope the rest of the team would be mature enough to accept her being dropped on the basis of taking her out of the firing line for a bit.

I'll watch it tonight as I've watched every England game these euros but it will never replicate the feeling of excitement last year when we beat the Dutch in the semis

the tubby full back who had a nightmare against sweden benched ( can`t remember her name)

That's Carter - and despite being 5'5"she's actually a CB.

I see overacting is creeping into the women’s game.

Has done for a while, unfortunately.

I used to enjoy watching City women play because the game was so honest. Diving and screaming all over the place now - which takes away it's USP from the men's game.

The advance of ‘professionalism’ I guess.

Basically - which then begs the question why would you waste your time watching really shit men's football?

I only watch England play these days - and I used to watch that Bronze / Bardsley / Houghton City team most home games back in the day.

We’ve been poor so far. No tempo and getting over run in midfield.

Russo is what I think most of you think Gueye is - best athlete on the field, but can't score for toffee. 🤣

She runs her blood to water, but bloody hell she's got no striker instincts at all.

We have too many good players to be this ineffectual.
