This commentator has it in for Wharton.

He's nicked in and won the ball back cleverly a few times - he's always attributed it to another England player.

They also criticised him for firing a pass into Kane - who was asleep and let it run past him. "Got to keep possession there".

He did his job - advanced the ball quickly to a teammate. Not his fault his teammate wasn't paying attention.

Roy Keane and Ian Wright praising him at HT though.

don't think this Stones experiment moving into the 6 role from centre back hasn't work for me.

We need to get down the wide areas and not trying to over load the centre of the pitch

People were rightly extremely annoyed we virtually gave him away to keep the lights on.

But nobody knows how much we'll end up with?

Same with Raya, all the complaints but we ended up with more than expected.

Maybe wait and see ?

No, because there's nothing to suggest that we have anything other than the standard sort of 15% sell on clause so we should have had a lot more to start with plus that.

Same with Raya.

Bellingham doesn’t fancy this tonight, laboured, looking disinterested.

It’s not a great performance by any England player, but our superstar should be leading by example.

Not one Rovers fan thought we'd get anywhere near £10 million for Raya. Bellingham was a higher fee when he left Brum, but only a 5% sell on.

We didnt get anywhere near £10m for Raya did we?

I thought it was £7m in total. £3m sale plus £4m add on.

Wharton off for Chaddy's hero Anderson.

I know he's just scored a scruffy goal but I can't see the point in playing Kane every minute of every game. We know he's a shoe in for selection and we're very over reliant on him if he were to pick up an injury. Others should be getting some minutes and experience.

Rashford just cleared the penalty area with a cross. Im not a fan of his at all.

£3M up front, £5M from the sell on, and there was another add on when he made his debut for Spain, not sure what that amount was,but pretty safe to say it was over £9M in total

Ok. I thought the Arsenal sell on was widely reported as £4m.

Point still stands though, as with Wharton we gave him away ridiculously cheap initially, in that instance primarily because Mowbray didnt really rate him.

Thought it was Mowbray who gave him his chance?

Don't forget the dark days when he dropped Raya for Leutwiler

Forgotten all about him. I do remember Raya wasn't getting a chance until Mowbray picked him.

Also true, but it was Mowbray dropping him that made him want to leave and eventually move on to Brentford.

But then again we did use the money from that sale to buy the goal scoring colossus that was Sam Gallagher, so it all ended well 😉

Its a bizarre argument.

People presumably think we should have got a bigger initial fee ASWELL as add ons. Those add ons arent part of a masterplan as opposed to a higher fee.

And had we waited longer and not been as desperate, chucking him out the door in the less busy winter window, then he would have been worth more, however it was structured.

Best fans in the world, seriously thinking of signing up again, nothing like following England away 🤔

my hero? Rev, Talking bollocks again.

I just think Anderson is better suited to how we want the 6 to play and how we play as a team.

Kane has to play, we don't look the same team without him and we don't have another striker in the squad, Would have like to see Welbeck in the squad and Watkins aswell
