Pretty sure this was the case, from a couple of difference sources.

Question is, where they put up to it by the club, or did they go into business for themselves?
Not sure which is worse.

Will certainly chip in and/or help with any fundraising also.

I wonder if this is the right moment for the Coalition to issue an open letter calling on the Venkys to finally back the club, now that financial restrictions have been lifted. With no excuses left, we expect visible commitment: come to Ewood, invest significantly in January, and give the team the financial (and leadership) support it needs to avoid relegation. Realistically, we know this won't happen but if the response is silence, that in itself will speak volumes and confirm their lack of genuine interest in the club.

I can guarantee all this would result in is an AI generated press release stating their long-term commitment to the club.

If it’s so hard to run a ‘medium sized Championship side with 15,000 average gates’ maybe they shouldn’t have fucked up the Premier League side with mid 20,000 gates they bought.

He has no affinity to Rovers and should have zero interest, certainly not enough to constantly chirp up in defence of the owners and put himself in the firing line.

The only motivation is to stay on that train and i think what they call it these days is gaslighting.

Never responds to the comments on his agency etc.

Holding out the tiniest bit of hope that when the time comes the book gets thrown at a fair few including that pillock, but I reckon that ship has firmly sailed.
