BlackburnEnd75 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I think some will get on board as this progresses when the current regime react poorly to it (which they will because it's suhail). Just got to hope that this gets the owners attention. Bare minimum we can get rid of suhail. 1 Quote
Exiled in Toronto Mk2 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I’d like to be proven wrong but I can’t help thinking a change in strategy is needed. Every call to action over the last 15 years has demanded maximalist action, be it a march in the pissing rain, invading the pitch or a match boycott sometime weeks away when 15,000 are boycotting every game already. The fact is that most fans just aren’t that invested beyond the 90 mins. So, rather than a few hundred fans at best taking some action that frankly is not supported by anything like a majority of fans, why not look for something that a) demands little or no effort, and b) is something that virtually all fans can get on board with. A simple online petition that anyone can click in a couple of seconds and worded so that no-one can disagree with it. There has to be some common ground between fans like Chaddy and Glen Mullen, find that and get 30,000 signatures. Then it can’t be dismissed as a minority with an agenda. You can initiate getting the law of the land changed if you get enough people to sign the right petition. 1 Quote

By the way, it isn't called boycotting if you weren't going in the first place. It's just called not going. I've been boycotting for 15 years. A line has been drawn in the sand and it's time for fans to choose what's actually important. Is it going to watch a team, any team in any division, playing in blue and white shirts every week, or is it wanting an actual future for the football club they claim to support? I would suggest that if a fan actually cares about the past, present and future of this club, town and the wider Rovers community then they will back an organised action to try and remove the people from the club who are responsible for running the place into the ground over the last 15 years. Not backing these efforts tells me that you don't give a toss about any of the above things mentioned and don't have any real pride in Rovers or Blackburn. 15 years ago I was calling for a total boycott and I've stuck with that ever since. Venkys have never had a penny from me. I have had no part in subsidising their destruction of our club. I have always backed any efforts to remove them and always will. If that's taking "the moral high ground" then whatever. I call it having principals and sticking to them. Edited 1 hour ago by Upside Down 7 Quote

I love Blackburn Rovers, love going to Ewood, love taking the kiddie winks and I don't want to stop that. I also don't think the venkys care if fans don't come, if the fans don't spend money, if we went bust. It would all not matter as they don't care at all about Blackburn Rovers. The only way to hit them is in India. Embarrass them there. Then they'll care. Get messi / Ronaldo etc to say they think Blackburn are a joke and the venkys are a joke then they might be embarrassed (I say this but mostly in jest). But us not going to games does nothing but impact us as fans, the youngsters who should be learning what it's like to support Blackburn Rovers. I want the venkys out, but I just don't see this doing anything. In fact I only see it embolding pasha. Less boes at the games. Easy ride. Quote

Okay, the owners are not perfect, but we could have much worse. Look at Sheffield Wednesday. Rudy, Val the boys are trying to build something new. So let’s show some back bone and support our team. You did when they were winning the title, and now the club needs us more than ever. Blackburn expects that everyone will do their duty and attend. How about this one?!!!!!!! Quote

We are all Rovers fans and we all have our positions on the range of the issues. I will say this, no-one SHOULD be slamming or calling anyone they are Venkys side cos they want to still attend games and back the players and the team. Just to be very clear and straight, I will be attending games and backing the players and the team. I want to win games and I want to support my club and I don't want to go down to League 1. That's my choice and if others are doing the same, then they SHOULDN'T BE slagged off and moaned at for doing so. This is a personal choice. Now if people want to not attend games and have NAPM stance then that's is their personal choice equally they shouldn't be moaned at either. 3 minutes ago, RoyWegerlesLeftToe said: In fact I only see it embolding pasha I could see Venkys appointing a new CEO prompt and taking Pasha out of the firing line for abit Quote
