No/severely reduced funding

Clubs surviving in the near future on sales income/low ticket sales

The need to pull in line future wages to income ratio or risk punishment

No players of any real value left to sell.

A 10k cap makes perfect sense.....to them not us.

I believe Preston had similar a few years but had no choice but to up it in order to compete but we are clearly being set up to go the other way.

It's operation put a team out and don't go bust at Ewood now.

Time will tell but if one of them signs on just one that means the 10k thing is nonsense as all 3 are on more as of now

It’s not that hard to go and check there are sites showing salaries 

and as it goes with your responses if you don’t like being challenged an only THINK YOUR RIGHT all of the time I’d say a Messageboard isn’t for you

Last we heard from the press is that talks were going well with Brittain and that he likes working under VI. No doubt if agents got any grasp of him being unhappy there would be a que for his signature. When Brittain is firing the whole team ups a gear, one of if not the best consistent performers with Tronstad at the club. If we lose Callum we lose a big part of our attacking identity

and as stated before until all contracts are rejected or they are sold on I’m sceptical of the 10k cap news and I’m entitled to have that opinion. Time will tell and if and when the time goes where there is clear indication then we can come back to it

The irony is all these players wanted to stay here but some of them haven't even been offered anything, that includes those with a year left.

So really one way or another they are being forced out, a point a lot of people seem to be missing in the wider domain.

Yes. But again, we havent managed to get any of them to sign new deals. So if we cant offer more than 10k specifically, or at least are limited in what we are willing to offer, that is probably why.

Agreed, that was one of our easiest straight forward lock downs this window. Should of been our first one signed n sealed in my opinion. Something is clearly a miss and Danny has seen a better futire

Punishment for the snowball is the craziest theory on here the rot was well and truly set in way before that.

The 30 million a season black hole they'd created which lead to a fire sale and relegation was less snowball and more Anderson/Kean,

Been irrelevant since we got relegated from the prem and a zombie club ever since.

Not bothered by Andi or Batth going. Both older players and though Batth had a very good season, it was in the heels of an injury ridden one. I’d bet he’s just as likely to be a disappointment at Derby as he is to play an important role for them. We have Carter and Wharton back as well. Andi is replaceable and doesn’t really fit a side determined to press high up the pitch.  My bigger concern is can Hyam play without Batth by his side.

Very well could be his last contract. Maybe he didn’t like playing for VI as much as JE?  Maybe they offered him a better deal. Would have been nice to bring back but don’t think he should have been counted on for a similar performance to last year
