Derby having a very, very good window. Just signed a CM who’s been on the books of Liverpool and RB Salzburg.Β

Meanwhile….

He flopped massively at Salzburg after they paid €10m for him

Are they though? Batth good signing yes, Weimann could go either way post injury,Brewster awful, Morris we’d be disappointed with, Sanderson coming back here wasn’t something many were bothered about. This lad at Salzburg wasn’t good enough for either of those teams you’ve listed so largely unproven.

Signed plenty yes but doesn’t mean it’s a very very good window.

It's clear to all now why he went there.

Long term ambition being put into practise.

Ozoh and Beck are 2 very good Loans if they can keep them fitΒ

They also paid big enough money for the striker from the states .They won't be finished yet eitherΒ

I'd definitely have taken Morris here.

Really?

batth ain’t long term

weimann ain’t long termΒ

Sanderson loan / beck loan / Clark loan / ozoh loanΒ

Morris coming 30 could go either way with himΒ

Brewster see aboveΒ

big money signing has nice ageΒ

6/9 players likely won’t be there next seasonΒ

Unless I really missed a part of Dion's game, no way Sanderson was at Salzburg?

They signed Clark on loanΒ  who joined Salzburg from Liverpool for 10 million last summerΒ Β

What long term? What signings are long term thinking?Β

Eustace wanted to control signings and who they target. That's why he went there. No DoF/head coach structure there..

He went there because we’re a shambles. The no DOF structure was a bonus.Β

I admire how you always come across as so cheerful, despite the heartbreak of following our once proud club. I would find it impossible to come across with such a cheery disposition when opining on the sad state of affairs at my club.

So they'll bring in some more he's laying a good platform for this season and they'll build on that how many times have we heard from a new manager or coach that they'll need 3/4/5 windows to 'build' their team.

What i don't see them doing is selling their best players, do you ?

Didn't stop him joining us in the first place did it?Β

Eustace was full control of recruitment.Β

Big if, both made of glass last season.Β
States kid is a big gamble, currently injured (Achilles I believe, which can be a difficult one to rehab), yes nice spending 6 million on a striker but there’s plenty of talk from America that he’s not all that.

I've not outright said it but I've voiced concern SPL fans don't think he's a technical player, and outside of Korea (recent loss), Saudi (recent win) and Japan (recent win) - I don't pay much attention to his overlapping ability against Indonesia and Bahrain

Very excited to be proved wrongΒ

I'm expecting him to be better defensively, just as good or slightly better at covering ground, and less effective than him at the final ball. We will see.

Would we be happy with the transfers if it was to Rovers? Don’t think soΒ

Morris probably as it’s what we β€˜need’

ozoh and beck good players but very injury proneΒ

Clark could be anythingΒ

You wouldn't want Beck here?

Batth here?

Iv no idea about the American Lad they signed but the fee suggests he must have something about himΒ

Ozoh looked decent when he was fitΒ

Morris experienced and a good player at this level for me

Clark an unknown but like only 12 months ago a team paid 10 million euro for himΒ

They are having a decent enough window...maybe not for the longer term but for next season they don't look in bad shapeΒ

Can't remember which poster (several pages back) who said we'd want cΒ£4m for Trav.

We're never gonna get that. Β£2.5m and he'll be gone.

Just fuck off with that bullshit.

Stop defending the club it's absolutely fucking pathetic.

That's what managers do that's why they are called managers not head coaches.

Do you see them selling their best players to pay their bills and fishing around for cheaper replacements to develop or do you see them putting in place a strong squad for this season then trying to add quality to take them to the next level ?

Meanwhile here - so far - 4 of last seasons best players have left and nobody has signed a contract extension.

Precisely what he knew was going to happen.
