Yep, we’ve already sold more than the total sales in 2021/22 so whatever we end up selling this time it certainly won’t register as a ‘protest’.

That run from nowhere by Val has saved a serious embarrassment to Swaghail.

I don't believe it will have made much difference to be honest, although there's no way of proving it either way.

My view is if that run had continued more of the 50/50 waverers would’ve gone the other way, football fandom is all about momentum (good or bad) and the general vibe around the place, it was horrendous a month ago, now, many more will be on the side of ‘good season that’… but yes, we’ll never know.

One thing they dont ever seem to have been pressed on is the stupid phases.

Prices etc theyve been questioned on and given often illogical explanations but the phases means that youve basically got a whole summer where you are limiting sales with people unwilling to pay an inflated price.

they have these phases to get the season ticket money in early in the summer to cover the shortfall from summer of income coming into the club.

Doesn't every club does these phases?

If a season-ticket was not value for money a month ago, I don't see how it suddenly changes to being value for money. It still isn't for me.

cos people situation might change like a new job or a job changing from temporary one to a permanent position or work pattern

Does anyone know if this extension includes the ‘claim your own seat’ period?
Or will those existing ST seats that haven’t been renewed, now available?
Reason I’m asking is that I am not prepared to pay any more in JW Upper and will be moving to the Riverside. I’ve already heard of several others doing the same.

you can still renewed now for this price and after the deadline then your seat swap will happen

Recruitment would work better if we could keep hold of staff. The turnover of personnel in that particular area cannot be conducive to success, there is very little continuity.

And one of the reasons for this recently has been the power struggle going on which in turn goes back to poor ownership and leadership.

High staff turnover cost a fortune for any company, let alone one that's deliberately implemented a programme of severe austerity upon itself.

Whether other clubs do it or not, im not particularly interested. But us doing it is ridiculous and counter productive.

I've told you why clubs do it so clubs have income over the summer to pay staff. Think about League 2 club who need that income to cover the club outgoings over the summer. It's Business at the end of the day.

When do cut off point in order for fans to move seats? Etc, etc

Again, im talking about Rovers who despite Venkys best efforts arent a League 2 club.

We should have the cash flow to not hinder potential season ticket sales by essentially throughout the summer probably putting a lot of people off because by the time theyve decided they would be interested, they then are unwilling to buy a season ticket for more than they could have had one for a month or two ago. There is no justification for it.

You could still have a cut off to keep your seat without hiking prices.

If the 7000 figure is correct its way down on last season

Anyone who hasn't bought one now highly likely isnt going to buy one at a increased rate after a already big price hike

Factor in mid week games on Sky etc

Rovers have a scored a own goal

Im not bothered what other clubs charge IMHO Rovers have got it wrong

Limited catchment area, vastly altered demographic from when we were drawing big crowds, constant worsening cost of living and poverty crisis within the borough, many Rovers regulars, former regulars and casual fans now live a few miles away, low wage economy and of course constantly disillusioned fans.

You simply have to price to your market and ours is slightly different than a lot in this division or indeed England. Never the mind the fact we have at least 15k empty seats most of the time but we do actually have potential for more attendees even at this level.
