I’m really surprised we’ve never simplified the badge on an away kit other than going monochrome, it’s so easy to have the red rose by itself and look good like some third party sites did

The leaked kit I've seen isn't much different from this seasons apart from there's no collar on it and there's a black 150 on the back at the top. Very underwhelming...

I haven't got a link got sent it on WhatsApp.

Crap quality as I've screenshot it from a video but that's the logo on the back below the collar

I’ve not spoken on here in a while but if the above image is how Rovers 150th Anniversary is being celebrated then that’s a absolute shambles, the kit is the starting point and should be looking at all the options what shade of blue, does the original badge go on the shirt ,just the red rose ,halves /quarters just seems like no actual real effort has went into it apart from a 150 logo at the back .

I'm not too fussed about what the club does myself as I don't see this as 150 years of Blackburn Rovers. For me that club ceased to exist in 2010. This is just a 15 years anniversary of venky rovers. Nothing to celebrate at all.

@Herbie6590 could you have a 150th shirt in the works, something similar to the 1960s shirts but with a button up collar similar to this?image.jpeg.df74d751f38819dba98be7f7eb80a3d8.jpeg

I am asking out of pure selfishness here as I have lost over 10kg and my old one now is too big for me. The Ribero 1960s ones we got last time were the best Rovers shirts I've ever had.

I also think it's another way to shame the club as once again the fans can do a much better job than them.

We are always thinking about merch opportunities - the challenge on so many of them is that they need a minimum production run to make them viable & we can’t afford to speculate & be left with loads of unsold stock.

What I will say is that I have always fancied a 1950’s style Rovers shirt myself & if I want one then I’m motivated to keep investigating…

This style 👍

Have you the ability to put together a pre order system?

Yes…but need to find a supplier who will do short order runs to a precise, bespoke design at an attractive price point…👍

This suggests no reversed halves on the back…🤦‍♂️

Or they're reversed on the front.

M’learned colleague @rog of the rovers pointed out to me that you can make out the Macron logo through the white half which suggests it’s a dark logo on a white half at the front.

My response to that was along the lines that my relationship to Rovers is at best fragile momentarily & a non-reversed halves home shirt in our 150th year might be the straw that breaks this camel’s back 🤦‍♂️😆

I see what you mean now.

Even more of a reason to do our own version.

The official 150th anniversary shirt brought to you by the supporters coalition.

No sales in shops support the coalition

I believe Macron are the ones responsible for the 150th anniversary shirt for Reading FC and that one was very popular with their fans. Macron definitely have it in them to do a good job of this, it just depends on what the club allows them to do.

So many clubs are doing throw back shirts now, especially away ones incorporating old badges etc.

So for something as momentous as the 150th anniversary of founder members of both the Football and Premier Leagues, surely, surely the forthcoming shirts will be commemorative, and I don’t mean just ‘1875’ on the collar or whatever.

Christ, Matty- that involves some effort, they won't go for that!
