Hello all,

Rangers fan here in peace. After being absolutely soul destroyed by watching Russell Martin destroy our season by the end of August I thought I would get my football fix a bit further afield this weekend.

I am taking in my first game at Ewood Park tomorrow. I have been looking at places to park and I note the Golden Cup Darwen seems to be a highly recommended place with £10 to park. Does anyone know if it has to be booked in advance or on the day? I tried to call them to check but couldn't get through.

Are there any good alternatives in the event that I can't park there?

Thanks all in advance.

Park up on the Fernhurst / Oakdale estate - keep off the double yellows and don't cause any obstructions and there's lots of free parking on a nice, safe estate.

Half a mile walk to the stadium and easy access to the M65 afterwards.

The Brown cow on Livesey Branch Road. Use J3 on the M65.

Feel for you guys.  Russell Martin's brand of football is awful and he's an arrogant  pillock to boot.

I park in the hood on Infirmary Street.

A fair walk to the ground, but I find it quick getting away and I’m never stuck in any traffic after.

Off the main roads you could park on streets around Mill Hill, which is 10-15 mins walk from ground. Handy if you're coming off M6 down Buncer Lane, through lights onto Spring Lane then turn right after Havelock Inn just befor you go under railway bridge, first left (under smaill railway bridge, first right, third left along Hertford Street then turn left.image.png.414f7f7177e05aeff99fcf365e97d7a7.png

It's pay on the day

Decent place to park as by the time you walk up to it after the match you get a clear run to the motorway

Also has a good beer garden for a drink before game

Thanks mate. To be honest it's been an unmitigated disaster. Style of play is beyond boring. I have never seen out fanbase so united to get rid of a manager.

Looking forward to seeing Todd playing today. A player I wish we had kept.

You do realise he was a free transfer rather than “an undisclosed fee.” Those were words agreed with Rangers to help your club save face.

Yeah I had heard that. Our club has been run by a bunch of idiots. When Clement came out and said cantwell had asked to leave it was always going to be difficult to get any cash for him

@BinoBear hope you enjoyed the match as a neutral.

Would be Interesting to get your take on how we looked as a team.

Thanks everyone. Firstly it was great to visit Ewood finally.

First thing I'd say is that you get treated like grown adults down south compared to up here. Went to go in and held my arms out to be searcher and the steward looked at me like I had two heads haha. I explained that up here were mostly always accustomed to a quick frisk before we enter the ground. Then having a beer before the match aswell, another lovely perk which we cannot be trusted with up here.

Ewood looked great, was sitting in the Ronnie Clayton stand, facilities great, stadium looks great, nice and close to the pitch, really enjoyed that aspect.

As for the match, I thought Norwich were better in the first half, probably should have scored at least one of the chances Sargent missed, the free header from 3 yards out and the chance at the near post also.

The sending off was harsh in my opinion but it kinda reminded me of a few of our red cards this season under old Russell. Sargent was clever and got in front of the Rovers defender and there was contact albeit minimal. What happened to the double jeopardy rule?

Second half I thought Rovers dug in and really should have got a point out the match. The big lad at right back looked a good outlet. Tronstad (I think) looked busy in midfield. The Japanese lad up front looked lively but was devoid of service. How the lad didn't score in the second half when he hit it from a few yards out I don't know. Cantwell was a bit sloppy on the ball at times but you could tell he was really trying to make something happen.

Sadly not a great result for Rovers but had a great time. Everyone was lovely in and around the stadium. It was nice to take in a match when you are not just constantly watching the keeper pass to the centre halves and then they play about with the ball at the back before losing it and conceding.

Oh and that reminds me, the keeper looks a player. Great save in the first half down to his right. I liked the look of him.

All the best for the rest of the season, I will be keeping an eye on your results.
