According to the Telegraph, Norwich are trying to sign Bodo's actual striker, Kasper Høgh.  If Transfermarkt is to be believed, he'll cost significantly more than Jorgensen, but does have an impressive goalscoring record.

One presumes if they do then Sargent will be sold to balance the finances. Would make sense as he has refused to play for them and wants out. Hard to come back from.

The Walkers sold out at exactly wrong time. Money coming into the Premier League was about to explode, and we were one of the clubs riding the gravy train. They prided themselves on being business people but they got it badly wrong

If they had held off for another 12-18 months we could've been sold for £100M+ instead of what was it £29M?

This thread has averaged 4.95 pages per day since the window opened, and is comfortably on pace for a sub 225-250 page climax.

That says it all really...

Could this be our highest PPS? (Posts per signing)

What's our current Xs? (Expected signings compared to rumours?)

I'd say we've only had 3 transfer rumours this window?

He looks really good. Strong player has an eye for goal

I think the point is that there isn't any value to telling people that we may or may not sign a guy. Who cares? We haven't learnt anything. I could have told you that.

Not sure why you and RF 99 are sniping at Mercer when he got Jorgensen right before anyone else.

As Shakespeare said when I asked him:

The teansfer window thread is but a walking shadow, a poor player,
That struts and frets his hour upon the stage,
And then is heard no more. It is a tale
Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,
Signifying nothing.

We can neither create nor score goals atm - this lad would give you both.

How do we know? What's the highest level he has played at?

Doubt Norwich will be in the relegation mix by the end of the season anyway.

Its not sniping, I literally asked for some detail as to who he was referring to.

He didnt get Jorgensen before anyone else. He never once specfied his name.

You're being pedantic now. He said he didnt have a name but "a forward" was coming in and he did.

Whilst Jackson and other sources were talking about that other lad from Toulouse which turned out to be complete nonsense.

But surely the players name/identity is quite important in getting a story/scoop. Not just me being pedantic.

Be playing against us in 3 weeks time so they'll certainly be out of it after that.

I had forgotten the transfer window is still open.

I guess it is like an open window for throwing ourselves out of...

Hopefully we will not have anymore last minute issues with this transfer window.

I read that Rovers have ditched the fax machine and have invested in AI on their computers.

Unfortunately, a human error meant they ordered the wrong Al

I’m sceptical with a lot of the rumours and ‘itk’s but he was pretty spot on with this one

Previous track record does enable scepticism but sometimes ya call it as ya see it and he got this one right

and neither did I!!!

As you seem to have difficulty understanding, let me clarify - if it was clear there was a big number of posters (ie "NOT in a minority") who disliked or rubbished my postings then I would simply stop posting.  I do not need the aggravation and I only post in good faith and try to make a contribution to this MB community.

Think you're taking it all a bit seriously. All I said was that you didn't provide information beyond what we would reasonably assume is happening anyway. If people enjoy that, cool. Personally, I'm not sure it's worth it, apart from maybe to say you knew something before other people if the nebulous thing comes to pass. Again, not for me, but if that turns you on, fine. No judgement.

Spot on regarding the timing. But without a name hardly qualifies as a big scoop.

I do feel that your just clutching to try and downplay because of previous disagreements with Mercer which is your own prerogative of course but he was in before Nixon and any other source and was spot on - on this occasion

C'mon - you might "reasonably" have assumed someone might have signed for us every day in January before that as well.

But they didnt. Well, apart from someone who was effectively completely free.
