We can, but hope.  A good win against  Wednesday should put us in a good frame of mind for the Norwich game.🤞

To be honest, although we didn’t sign anyone on deadline day, we may have signed three players by firing the manager. Pickering, and Ribeiro are not bad players. They have had solid games in the past They were made bad players.

I can’t think of anyone that he made better other than chucking in some of the kids and hoping for the best. Pratt started well and then he got binned.
I think the squad will start fighting for their places again, knowing they all have a chance under a new regime

Pratt got his face caved in a week ago in an U21 match (which he wouldn't have played in if he wasn't binned off)

Fractured jaw & cheekbone I think, think they were waiting on a scan to see how long he may miss, or if he could play in a mask

So time for the traditional 6 monthly question - Any free agents out there willing to pay as you play? What’s Kuqi up to nowadays?

When I saw the news that Ismael had left and the words "no further update from the club until an appointment is confirmed", I naively thought okay, no incoming players but at least it sounds like maybe they have a new manager lined up who would be announced prior to tomorrow's game.

Cue no signings and a tweet later announcing Johnson being in "temporary charge". This fucking club.

They probably did, but after agreeing a contract over the phone, they probably changed the goalposts once he arrived & he told them to go forth & multiply

Depends if Pickering's freeze-out was a choice by Ismael or forced by Suhail/Gestede for contractual reasons..

With Gestede still picking the team based on cash?

The last 4 or 5 transfer windows have all been a disaster. Forgetting to press buttons, literally unveiling players then not signing them.

Do we think this one is the worst of all of them? Or is that just a recency bias? We needed players in several positions, especially a striker. We've bought two wingers and loaned a centre half. Then sacked the manager. All while we circle the plughole to L1.

Any club might have one nightmare transfer window every few years, it happens.

Our club just melts down every summer and every January. It's bonkers.
