Tickets went on sale yesterday although in the announcement it didn't give a number but I think after corporates and players allocation it's around 1200.

For the first time this season the loyalty points required is above 470. For this fixture the number has been raised to 510 for the first phase. I think this higher number will be indicative of how many people will want them and if Rovers have done their homework the first phase will probably see the whole allocation gone.

The second phase, should they get to it is 470 points.

It was very telling they didn't even bother to mention the chance of a general sale at all, which I don't think we ever do bar Dingles away?

I remember some years ago when Wrexham were scrapping about in the National League pre-Reynolds/Mac a friend and I were poring over fixtures for a ground to tick off one weekend and we got it down to Port Vale or Wrexham. We chose the former. That hasn't aged well!

Might have to be an EFL Trophy v. Leeds u21s job to get the Racecourse done nowadays ffs.

A striker to replace Gueye.

A Tronstad replacement given he wants to go back Norway at the end of season

A centre back cos we are short of once

I think the point was, why do we need so much when they kept telling us how great the summer window was.

Not, name which positions we need (which positions you can echo Alan Nixon about).

Right, what do we need from our lads to beat Preston. They've been very good of late good on the turn amd move forward quickly.

Hoping Cantwell is back for this one to provide for Alebiosu, Yuki and Gudjohnsen.

Stick with a back 3?

Don't think it matters, our lads will get bullied from the first minute to the last against this lot.

Only time in recent years Preston haven't run all over us and completely out fought us was last season, because we had a manger who knew the league and a team full of senior pro's who knew how to handle it.

This lot are small, weak and slow, and they are showing it against teams like this.

4-1 away win April 2022 to Rovers?

I mean that was 4 seasons ago, we also beat them 1-0 at Ewood when they were in all kinds of trouble.

Again though the point stands, we had plenty of senior pro's with experience at this level in those sides.

Our current side going up against a side that is so in your face and currently sit 4th in the table worries me.

We just won't be able to deal with them.

Its going to be interesting game. I work with a number of PNE fans so hear plenty about good or bad they play. Looking forward to the game

The miserable defeat to them at Ewood in the pissing rain under JDT shortly after the heavy Derby Day defeat at the Turd still sticks in my craw.

Players like Tyler bloody Morton looked like they'd rather be anywhere else.

Looking at the seat planner we are into the last full block of tickets remaining. Therefore I'd estimate about 75% have been sold so far.

I thought that I read that Preston only put on sale one block at a time.

We were only given 3,800 initially (holds 5,500), presume that is still the allocation being sold.

When I first checked it was block M which was a few days after it had gone on sale.

Over time each block has opened up as the other block has had low availability. Therefore L, M, N have been sold, P has a few left at the front and Q is on general sale.

I presume the small blocks K & R haven't been made available yet.

Those end blocks only usually go on sale if the rest sells out.

Seems like a decent effort though considering TV, form and £30.

Very misleading judging off there, some thought we'd nearly sold out at Coventry a week before but we didn't even clear half the allocation.

They also often sell from block L first if they don't expect a sell out.

I'm expecting 3500k max for this we never turn out big there when not doing well which is pathetic but it is what it is.

It’s the only local fixture and the days of it not being on TV are over with the broadcast deal, so no point hiding behind ‘well, if it was Saturday 3pm’, we should always be looking at minimum 4k.

Last year it did sell out to be fair but that was under a good manager and a fairly solid squad .

Every day you've seen a block on sale get more sparse and then more sparse, and once it's almost gone the next block opens. Therefore blocks M to P have definitely sold well. I presume L went on sale first (although I didnt see it).
