Andy Posted December 6 Posted December 6 Two poor sides, quality from both has been awful. However, very nicely worked (and taken goal). Thought Ribeiro looked out of place on the left and beaten too easily a couple of times. Aside from dropping a standard catch early on, Pears has been fine. Forshaw was decent, but gives Baradji a good half in the legs now. Just one of those games where we need to see out the second half, no stupid errors and get the 3 points in the bank. 2 Quote
moerpho Posted December 6 Posted December 6 Ahead so can’t complain. At the moment we are 6 points off play-offs and 7 points from relegation. And we are 17th in the table. Go figure. Give me a gritty 2nd half and 3 points and I’m happy. COYB!!! 2 Quote

If it doesn't get called off. This rain is relentless and there's already standing water on the pitch. 1 Quote
den9112 Posted December 6 Posted December 6 I hope Forshaw is playing one here and i am not saying he is ,but i have played the game at a decent level and if i had been booked in the first half in those conditions i could guarantee you if i had to play my game as Forshaw does in those conditions it would be guaranteed i would get a second yellow in the second half....Hope i am wrong as he as played well the last couple of games .. RTM08 Posted December 6 Posted December 6 Another game where we aren't really doing anything, but at least we've got a goal. Need another one because we all know we won't hold on when the cavalry arrives, but 3 points is the priority above all else. 1 Quote

Well yeah, but that doesn't account for our inconsistent performances across the entire season though. Goes as far back as when we beat Hull 3-0 and then immediately lost at home to Norwich with a dire display. Or when we beat Watford away and went straight on to lose to Charlton and Swansea. Would be nice to just see a minimal level of consistency across just a handful of games. Edited December 6 by DE. Quote
TugaysMarlboro Posted December 6 Posted December 6 Just on the TV which has the pitch in the background. It looks like over half time the rains picked up. Quite a few working on the pitch, but it's taking a battering by the looks of it. 1 Quote
StHelensRover Posted December 6 Posted December 6 I think there was only one shot on goal in that half and luckily for us it was Yuki's goal. A game very low on quality but if it stays this way until 90+5 mins then I'll gladly and quickly move on. Ground staff were out in force with pitchforks. Hope it holds. Lots of water is spraying about as the subs knock the ball across the pitch. Quote
moerpho Posted December 6 Posted December 6 Need Bardji to step up, get Cantwell on and provide some ammunition for Gudjohnsen. Be good for him to keep a streak going. Quote
Backroom DE. Posted December 6 Backroom Posted December 6 If we have a particularly wet winter/spring, I wonder how many games would have to be abandoned at Ewood before the EFL actually cared enough to intervene? Quote
TugaysMarlboro Posted December 6 Posted December 6 (edited) Wow. They've zoomed in on the pitch, on Barry Bannan. There is lots of standing water spots. Edited December 6 by TugaysMarlboro Quote
TheKitGuy Posted December 6 Posted December 6 Ball isn't bouncing at all with the players warming up.. I think Sheff Wed are going to try calling this. Banana not happy when he was out in the centre circle Quote

rock steady Posted December 6 Posted December 6 Another chance for the Neve. Maybe if the game is getting abandoned we should just use all our subs now and take it easy. Quote
joey_big_nose Posted December 6 Posted December 6 Surely there is going to be a big fine or something, its ludicrous we can't keep the pitch playable. Quote
TimmyJimmy Posted December 6 Posted December 6 Wednesday players complaining. They'll keep on, eventually they'll get it called off. Inevitable I fear. Quote
moerpho Posted December 6 Posted December 6 Great save from Pears..again. Toth has done him a world of good. 1 Quote
