He was taken off with an injury, he came off holding the back of his thigh, and we all know what that indicates.

He had a bag of ice in his hand at the final whistle on the Sky footage so there was definitely something up with him.

Seems to be a few people saying that but he didnt look injured, just knackered. I dont think he went down the tunnel for treatment either but may be wrong and not seen anything post match.

He is very limited in his all round game, but he does have a natural instinct for being in the right place at the right time and can finish which justifies his place in the team as its the most important part of being a striker.

Rovers will need to check on Andri Gudjohnsen before the trip to Middlesbrough after he was taken off with a precautionary hamstring injury.

The striker scored his seventh goal of the season in the first half but was substituted after an hour. After a heavy workload, Ismael revealed Gudjohnsen felt his hamstring and will be assessed.

"We need to look after them," Ismael said.

"Andri was not good with his feelings in his hamstring. We will see but we think it was just a precaution with that situation.

"We will make an assessment and we hope it's just a precautionary situation."

Rovers will travel with a similar group to the Riverside Stadium. Balazs Toth is back in training and could be part of a matchday squad over the Christmas period.

With a game Friday and Monday do you risk Gudjohnsen and potentially make the issue worse ?

Judging by VI:s comments about attitude in training and who was absent from the squad on Saturday it's pretty obvious who he was talking about. Do you bring Gueye back in if Gudjohnsen's not fit or risk a youngster again ?

Maybe we saw the plan (if Gudjohnsen is unavailable) on Saturday.  Henriksson replaced him, and I thought did well & made himself a nuisance, at the very least, he enabled us to carry on pressing from the front, and him being further forwards meant his lack of positional awareness was not exposed

I would rather play Henriksson over Gueye. He put himself, created Miller chance, press from the front..

Looking at Ismael's comments about some players didnt play cos of training performances. Would if that's why Gueye didnt play

Little wonder that Gudjohnsen has picked up a muscle injury. We have run him into the ground.

I think I would rather go with 10 than play Gueye. I certainly wouldnt play Henriksson up front, I would rather add an extra midfielder and play Miroshita higher up.

How have we run him into the ground? He played a run of games together. So similar we run Alebiosu or Ohashi into the ground? You weren't saying any thing before he picked this injury which you were only saying yesterday he wasnt injured when he come off.

Decent shout but I think Henriksson gives us a bit more physical presence to be honest

I didnt say he wasnt injured, I suggested that he didnt go down the tunnel so I hoped that he was just tired.

And yes, we have run numerous players into the ground because our squad is paper thin and we have numerous players unable to contribute. The front 2 have to play every game and it was imevitable that one would pick up a muscle injury soon.

Unless I am misunderstanding, it sounds to me like Dlamini was on the bench as a possible replacement/sub for Litherland at wing back (presumably if they were chasing a goal), rather than a stand in for Gueye.  Atcheson similarly, if they wanted to shore things up later on,

So we did similar with Hyam who every game last season didnt we? Who played every league game.

Taking the goalkeeper out of the equation I would suggest that centre halves do the least running of all the players.  Regarding Hyam, I always felt he was playing within himself. One of the reasons why he never got injured.

He has taken off Gudjohnson In nearly every match mid second half.

Lots to be critical about but apart from the big spenders you don't see many teams number 1 goal threats being rested and left out

For example Derby wouldn't leave Morris out or Pompey wouldn't leave Laing out

We would have all been going mad on here if Gudjohnson had started on the bench v Millwall and we ended up not scoring and drew or lost the match
