  1. That's why hes dropped it in there and it was inevitable anyway they were always waiting for a huge sale before commencing any extra maintenance that's why its never been done. A few quid from a big Dack and BBD sale would have seen some done no doubt but they never materialised. The owners who never refuse a cheque and are exempt from FFP on this one really came up trumps again eh.
  2. Never that keen on Sherwood the bloke always thought he was a flash git looking down his hooter a bit back in the day and the move to Spurs suited him perfectly at the time. Really grown on me since though he really understands the town and club which is no mean feat considering some spend years around it and still don't. Could listen to him all day these days that's one of the best UtC podcasts, mainly because the 3 balloons kept their jabber to a minimum apart from Brown crying about Rovers fans as per.
  3. we'll sell 6/7k whatever division or price rise but we are looking at many sub 10k crowds and expectation levels finally drop to zero. Something the 'it's not 1995' brigade have been yearning for for years.
  4. Big City clubs like Sheffield can always get away with though quite simply because there are that many people there and their fanbase is so big within the city that enough will always stump up stupid money. Thousands of long standing fans will have given up but there is always some to replace them and if they did reasonably priced ones they'd get 30k every week. The arseholes in suits with their power point presentations just cash in on whatever they can to hit their bonus targets as soon as they can.
  5. That's social media for you and the license for silly idiots to run around yapping nonsense on the back of a bit of success. Boro were the same a few years ago but the distances they travel you have to give them credit whereas the likes of Coventry couldn't be any more perfectly positioned in the country. There's a new lot every year going through the same old willy waving but iv'e been on there a decade and you rarely if ever came across one Coventry fan, suddenly they are everywhere. Probably be Bolton or Derby next year.
  6. We won't be, we should be and should've been before now but there is always enough money pops up to keep us hanging in the balance. There'll be enough funds to see us over summer then whatever first instalments from this summers sales will begin to drop in the account. Think we all know the Vs court case being resolved in Aug is pie in the sky but they'll probably find a way to drip a few more million in. Next summer we'll be really struggling though and probably a league 1 club and i'm convinced one or two inside Ewood see that as the future and are ok with it. Over the last few years this is 100% managed decline, something Waggot has form for, when a club like this allegedly so desperate to go back to the Prem won't bring in a bit of quality whilst in 2nd place in Jan TWICE then it's rather obvious what the script is.
  7. Even if this entire squad stays together without investment instead of chucking in more kids be it academy, loan or otherwise we are going down next season. It's absolutely nailed on.
  8. It's just a wage and potential bonus to those in charge of it, get a target and hit it however you can regardless.
  9. So the STC which was sold to a 3rd party affiliated with the ownership and which the club pays lease money on is now going to have a portion of the Wharton money spent on it ? Surely that should be done by whoever now owns it. Those forum mins are amongst the most depressing iv'e read they just don't give a #### do they, wage thieves and clowns. This is either entirely about Maggot making him and his pal look good asking for no money in order to keep his own job and bonuses. Or the finances remain in a perilous state and he really hasn't the first clue what will actually happen with funding but knows there's enough transfer income to keep the bills paid over summer. Everyone now prepped for signing only kids and getting an ST price rise in return ?
  10. Stumbled across something on social media today in regards to their fans and actually started by a North Ender. Fair to say their fanbase were getting pelters from various other clubs fans for running around giving it large about their crowds etc. They are a deluded bunch over the last couple of years for sure it seems instead of enjoying it after all the tough years they'd rather make empty boasts about being the best fans in the land when actually for a one club city of 400,000 their support numbers wise is poor and always has been.
  11. Cheaper shutting stands than buying and paying a good keeper. Waggot should be all over it.
  12. First port of call is do we have anyone ready to throw in ? Second port of call is another young Prem club loanee. 3rd, resign 37 yr old Mcfadz.
  13. Is it me or do we go through medical and conditioning staff quite quickly these days ? Anyway it's a real blow for Wharton and us he was looking like his old self again under Eustace. Hopefully fit and well again soon as possible, another decent centre back is a must now for next season and by that i mean one with some Championship experience.
  14. Just the same when Mowbray took over and even often in league 1. Eustace is cut from the same cloth, standard coaching manual British coach.
  15. I'd limit every team to 4,500 spilt over the two tiers and empty some brain cells finding a way to charge them as much as possible in the process. That could be worth 6 points a season - to cover for the 6 Pears throws away.
  16. The striker pool below Gallagher now consists of Telalovic, Vale and Leonard. That says everything you need to know about operation downgrade.
  17. I don't think Merce has been around the away travel scene much in the last decade.
  18. Wasn't he one of the lads that had the same agent as JDT ? Now he's getting even less of a sniff than before, make of that what you will.
  19. I don't agree with flexi tickets etc as good as they might sound to some it's self inflicting even lower turn outs actually in the ground for a lot of games. Only way it works is a good discount on full ST early birds, some kind of attractive offer for lapsed / newbies and kids then sell as many as you can. Then you can look the database and perhaps come up with something to try and get the irregulars to be more regular.
  20. That's the argument against Waggot though maximising the guaranteed cash grab before trying to maximise as much home advantage as possible. Neither end was very vocal until they went 3-1 up then it was loud understandably whilst the rest were in stunned silence at the shit they were witnessing. If he thought for 1 min Coventry would guarantee 6 or 7k at full price then full price it would be.
  21. The 'timing' of all those court hearings has been just perfect enough to impede the football club. Another monumental Venky coincidence.
  22. The latter definitely as at cheap tickets they'll not want to go to any extra expense of stewards and police etc. If it was full price they'd be given as many as they wanted.
