  1. Good old Lowey he took 20k pwk off Rovers now he plays for Bolton for nowt !!! What a lad ? There's certainly egg on face with a lot of Bolton fans after the stick they dished out to Rovers as recently as last year but they've always been built on sandcastle foundations themselves and should've known better. Holdsworth & co were clearly just after getting their mitts on it and flogging it on quickly they've obviously never had enough funds to run it properly. Feel genuinely sorry for the people at the club and their fans who don't go beyond normal levels of local rivalry banter.
  2. Think they've been in similar positions before and got out of it at the 11th hour. Bolton mate seems to think it's just Andersons way of doing things (that bloody name) !
  3. It's Wythenshawe at night... go over 'you ok mate' next thing you're being mugged or they're off with your car so it's probably best he left it alone. Doesn't make it right but that's the world we live in !
  4. Verdict - More crosses and less long balls. Now back to talking about that pacy winger and big target man we didn't source in the window..........
  5. Another big cup tie and draw at Ewood under Mackay then replay down there with us taking far more fans than we'd see in similar circumstances these days. Kennedy first min pearler missed by half the Rovers massed ranks trying to get in, Price in Villa colours trying to rip us a new one, Stapleton with the crappest penalty you're likely to see, chance gone and inevitable defeat. Great couple of games though and Villa did used to have that huge club mystique about them.
  6. Rovers often raise their game against the higher profile sides who bring big followings and I don't see this being any different add in we usually get a good reaction after a crap display. Not sure whether the break has come at a good time or bad time taking that into account as to balance it we are usually sluggish for some reason after an International break. Much depends on TM's mindset this is just the type of game they shouldn't need much motivating for so I hope he'll let them off the leash but I can see an over cautious approach taking over again. On the crowd front Villa didn't always travel well up here when Prem games were televised or things weren't going well they certainly haven't always sold out. Not sure of the mood down there at the min but there'll be a decent number I reckon this being a Saturday. Hard fought draw.. Rovers 1 Villa 1 14,283 (2.6k Villa)
  7. Gladwin can help him, he's better at stuff apparently ?
  8. I think one of the main reasons they got lucky with this one is in the lottery of grabbing another relatively cheap from the scrapheap again they inadvertently landed the most experienced fella to be in the hotseat since Allardyce. I don't think it's any coincidence that the facts he's been around the block, had success and failure in equal measure and worked in similar clubs in similar situations have played a huge part in his turnaround of this club so far. The timing was just right for both parties and he's just gone back to basics and applied some common sense from the ground up. Only someone like him would've managed to do that here, be grateful for the chance and put up with the crap. If he left tomorrow we could say without doubt it worked out well.
  9. Just like the outside of the stadium it wouldn't take much and needn't cost the earth to tidy it up a bit.
  10. No mate arse on floor back against the wall with a rolled up towel or something behind your lower back. Good leg foot flat on floor pulled back knee towards chest so its bent but comfortable then bad knee leg flat straight out on floor, pull toes back, tense leg muscles then raise with leg rigid, as many as you can. The flat back and towel stops lower back strain, you'd get that if you do it lying down pretty quick I think.
  11. Yep that one although it's nothing connected to Seneca according to the reports.
  12. Bloody hell where have they dug him up from last time I saw him he'd shaved his hair off, thought someone had kidnapped him or something.
  13. Probably better googling it for a proper description pal i'm no physio lol but that's what they always used to get you doing after any op's or injuries so you strengthen the quad muscles without bending the knee and putting any sheering force or strain on it. I still do them now when mines playing up which isn't too often luckily and it does work if you do regularly and do enough of them.
  14. Nobody is comparing East Anglia to Essex they are however comparable characters do your research and you'll find Sutty was a bit of a lad and had a model bird as well. There's a whole story behind Sutton and it took a while for him to settle down, you've already struck up a comparison by highlighting the arrests.
  15. Leg straight, toes back, straight leg raises lads, 100's of em.... ?
  16. Yeah I suppose in the grand scheme they'll term him worth the hassle he's not the first talent to have wayward tendencies and he won't be the last but agree the leash has to be very tight from now on otherwise there'll likely be more problems.
  17. Different world where he's from I bet even Manchester doesn't live up to it and I don't think he'll grow out of it for a while yet. Mind you they managed to sort Sutton out similar to that so there's hope yet I suppose, meanwhile he's a lot of litter to pick up !!
  18. He already has really he's gone out on a limb for him before plus he obviously feels responsible because he brought him to the club despite knowing there were problems. If TM doesn't feel a bit let down he should, ok Dack has helped repay that faith on the pitch he's got to realise it's a full time thing and two wrongs don't make a right.
  19. If I remember rightly there were similar fitness issues just before something broke about him last time around ? Hopefully if he gets his nut down we'll benefit for a few months with some quality stuff on the pitch like last time then his price will be high. Sadly as much as I think he's a cracking talent I don't see a long and happy future with this lad at Rovers. The root cause of it is probably something to do with him not settling right well up here, not the club but area he most likely spends his spare time chasing up and down back to Essex as well as after that fame hungry skirt. That could well have contributed to him not doing what he should have. The old 'he's here to play football and nothing else matters' is also possibly how the club have looked at it seeing as he was doing well but they should have looked beyond that knowing his character type.
  20. He hasn't accepted his punishment though that's the whole point here he's agreed to it then walked away and thought stuff it. He won't be playing football for Blackburn Rovers if he's in the clink will he nor will he be bringing in much needed revenue when he's sold to pay the bills and there's the small matter of actually doing what he's paid to do which he hasn't been recently' The whole lot is linked whether you like it or not.
  21. The club should buy the Woodlands and re-open it as the players own private bar they never seemed to get into much bother when they went in there back in the day ?
  22. Speaking of Andy Todd on the other thread George wasn't shy of the old elbows out rough stuff either. Decent player as well though, a bit more of the old boys network going on maybe.
  23. You'll not hear many who know him say a bad word about Andy Todd, Brown on the other hand..... ?
  24. Todd battered the keeper at Charlton but like I said we don't know the in's and outs about who was winding who up about what or how long it had been going on. Training ground bust ups or any bust ups within a football aren't unusual and what goes on on the training ground or in the dressing room should stay there be sorted then on you go. Todd was obviously a bit handier than some of those around him so they came off worst, tough shit it's the real world after all not a soap opera. The way Dack carries on it could very well turn into one though !
  25. Hammering Phil Brown after he insulted Todds dad is a bit different imo. Toddy was an old school hard man who was probably fine as long as no one took liberties. Brad seems to fall under the worrying snowflake label of modern players who just want to do as they please and expect someone else to clear up the mess, in short they don't particularly care for the rules then melt when they have to face up to them. Marshall, Jake Kean, Stokes now Dack the list is endless and the clubs should deal with serial offenders swiftly and harshly or rip up their damn contracts.
