  1. The cycling phenomenon at the min on the roads is becoming a bit of a bug bear for many people. A keen cyclist myself although more the mountain bike variety at the min I seem to be scratching my head daily at some of these on the road. For every good 5 there is one or two complete knobs and most seem to operate the same as they do when in a car i.e I'm in my own bubble oblivious to anyone else and I'm untouchable. Stupid attitude as if your on a bike and you argue with a motor vehicle you lose !
  2. Respect to Cotto a proper warrior. Love watching this guy, thought he was finished not long ago but he's obviously still a top fighter.
  3. Yeah I was surprised to see that, was a big day for them yesterday with the cup final then the boxing.
  4. Physically he looked a good bit bigger than Mitchell so he must boil himself down to that weight but he still seemed the stronger of the two.
  5. Enjoyed that bill tonight. The last one Hearn put together was a bit poor so tonights match ups were worth watching although I agree on Gavin. Maybe he thought he could shake Brook up a bit like Groves did to Froch in the first fight, Brook probably had harder spars though.
  6. Love to see AJ flatten that knob Fury. Think it'll be Price or Chisora next though.
  7. I'd never bet against the Cobra, he's had a few schoolings because of his take a punch to land one style but he gets through them. GGG could be a different matter though and it's a massive risk, not sure how much heart is left in Froch now he seems happy semi retired. Always a slow starter and there's no second chances against Golovkin.
  8. Froch and Calzaghe having a set too on twitter earlier. That's a fight I'd love to have seen. Pity Calzaghe's been out to long now.
  9. You could look at it another way and say Pacman has had about ten more fights than Mayweather and he's also stopped a few good fighters that Floyd ambled the distance with. He was utterly disgracefully robbed in the Timothy Bradley fight, the corrupt Yanks at their best not wanting anymore titles leaving their shores. He battered Marquez then got careless in trying to finish him off and walked on to one, no doubt a reason why he was cagey last night. End of the day Manny and his style open him up to mistakes and he's made a few. Mayweather is almost flawless hence the unbeaten in 48 and the way he deals with whoever is the next big challenger one after another with his no risk style.
  10. The main thing for me was the size and reach difference. Manny has to get inside and let a few go but he got tagged trying that early on so he's no way of landing scoring punches unless he kept going in and letting them go but with Floyds reach he was tagging him easily. It was like watching a catchweight contest at times with the size difference, Manny just couldn't hurt Mayweather unless he landed on the button. He ran out of ideas then ran out of steam a bit, don't know about his shoulder but he wasn't on his toes like he has been for the last few fights. Over trained maybe. Got to say it though Mayweather is something special in the ring and in his business mind, in all the rest he's a tit Styles make fights and as a big boxing fan I found it interesting if not spectacular. Sadly when joe public get involved in these things they just want to see them rip each other heads off but that was never ever going to happen. Some people should stay away from boxing and watch cagefighting or summat lol
  11. It would have been if they'd got together a few years earlier. Pretty one sided after the first. Tyson was photographed smoking dope on the beach a couple of weeks before the fight. He was mentally and Physically shot. The nearer this fight gets the more I'm actually leaning towards Pacman. I rate Floyd and can't understand the stick he get's stateside. He's technically brilliant at what he does but Manny has a real chance of outpointing him if he doesn't get reckless. Everyone says speed is the way to beat Mayweather yet the same people predict him winning on points. Manny has the speed and punch count to out point him for sure if he can keep it up for 12.
  12. Definitely similarities with the actual style of play, I thought that when straight at kick off it was punted forwards. Also balls into a centre forward who couldn't handle them all night. Being fair though Saints are a very good side and play quick one touch football. After watching our u21's this season no way can we compete with that so I'd prefer to think they came up with a system to nullify that and try and catch them out on the break or going long. The nullifying bit worked but attack wise we struggled.
  13. Matched them for guile and effort and by and large completely stopped them from playing their football. Decent effort considering they are a league above and top that league i think. A bit bigger, stronger and quicker with the ball but no surprise there given the rep of the Saints academy. Apart from Raya though i don't think there is anyone on there anywhere close to challenging for a place in the first team squad. Young team though, our right back Nyambe could be one for the future.
  14. If they are just going to be on the bench tomorrow just making up squad numbers then surely they can play tonight ? Or is this just the mollycoddled world of modern footballers.
  15. It'll all be gone soon enough if the big cost cutting crunch comes ! What's the old saying "you'll miss it.............."
  16. The kind of delusion they display on there then if that runs through the club it's no wonder we are going nowhere !
  17. I have a strange attraction to the Red Woman. Mind you I been out with a few witches.
  18. A break of 4 mins every 8 mins on G.O.T on sky atlantic over here it seems. Although I always watch the later one on +1 an it's hard work when your bog eyed !
  19. Handy to have that source available though. They did a great job of stopping it spreading through the cottages. A big pipe running across the road with ramps over it and a fireman waving cars over it slowly.

    RIP Tashor

Sad news, remember his posts well down the years. A stand out character RIP fella.
  21. There has been a few things flying around about him down the years, offshore accounts, agent connections you know that sort of Kean type stuff.
  22. Only viable option in the fantasy world of all local clubs winding up would be Chorley Utd. Start from scratch and expand something neutral that already exists. Fans of most local clubs already stand side by side plenty of times to cheer on Chorley so to pour millions into something like that and expand it, rocket up the leagues it may work.
  23. Steve Kean and Owen Coyle. What a pair of #####. No suprise at the connection of the 2 and the matching mess they both left behind. Sickening.
