Last year there was quite a fuss made about the new and improved Scouting Department at Rovers. It would be a good question for Mowbray at the next FF as to what they have actually been doing with their time since being employed.

I read somewhere that James Vaughan from Wigan was potentially going to someone in League One. I'd actually think he could be a decent fit for the squad as a boost until the end of the season, he has the football brains like Danny Graham, and is someone who is just a nuisance up front and has pace.

I think Boro need to get the £300k a week off their books otherwise they will fail FFP potentially.

I don’t know much about BA, no doubt a quality player, id just be worried about bringing someone in on £60k/£70k a week -higher than even our best players -because it is going to upset the spirit we have in the squad.

Any further link with Luke Freeman, didn't we bid a couple of million in summer?

We really should be in there already. If you take the 2 points dropped at home v Birmingham, and we were winning v Leeds after 90 mins, that’s 5. There’s plenty more too (Boro away). At the start of the season we couldn’t have realistically hoped to be much better than we are now, top 8, closing in on the top 6. As Mowbray says, we don’t need a radical overhaul, but I think the owners could make a statement of intent by: 1) Finding the money to get Reed on a permanent. 2) Give Rodwell a long term contract. He could be a massive player for us for years to come. Still young for a centre back. 3) Sign Chapman and Gallagher.

I can't see us starting with both Armstrong and Rothwell on the wings; not enough protection for the defence. It will be: Armstrong - Evans - Travis - Reed I'm hoping that Nyambe is fit to come in at RB.

I'd like to see Mulgrew given a try at LB. When we're defending it would be a back 4 with Benno at RB. When we have the ball we shift round to more of a back 3 with Bennett having some freedom to get forward. Did something similar earlier in the season with Williams.

Ipswich very poor, if it wasn't for Collins at the back they would be shipping a lot more goals. BBE top corner in good voice today, long may that last.

Momentum is a huge factor in this league. If we finish the season bottom half with a poor last few months, this is going to be carried forward to next season. I think we need a couple of additions just to freshen it up, give us a boost to finish the season strongly. Look at the impact Travis had. A pacey winger and maybe another striker would lift everyone.

More and more I see I think that we’re a quality left back short of a decent side.
