I really hope BB gets a goal or starts to find some form soon. I'm trusting Mowbray has done his due diligence. We're not at a point where we can spend £7m on 'potential'. He's got to have an big impact this season, otherwise questions will rightly be asked. If BB is going to be played out wide, I wonder how much Harry Chapman would have cost to buy?

Sounds like a bit of an oversight by the club to let him miss the community service he's meant to be doing. If he goes in jail and we cancel his contract, thats £5m/£15m lost from the club. He's already had 2 court appearances already before this one for not doing the hours. It is his own responsibility but how has no-one at the club checked he's actually turning up?

Last season we got away with a few bad performances with moments of individual skill and by our fitness in the last 15 mins of games. It's not going to happen this season. Play badly for a half = lose the game. Best thing is to move on, get everyone fit and ready to go after the international break.

Positives: at least we have options to mix it up after a bad performance like that - Rothwell, Dack, Williams, Reed, Davenport could all come in and improve things.

I had considered going, but the 3 hour drive put me off. So it is a bonus. If the game had been a bit nearer, it would have been a tricky decision.

We’ve certainly put a lot of faith in young players this window. If DG gets injured we’re down to 3 young strikers. Id have liked Chapman as a wide option - we will have to rely on Conway. Overall, a decent window and I think we are stronger than end of last season.

Hopefully this clears the way for Chapman to come back to Ewood. Southampton seem to have a lot of players out on loans.

I don't think Dack/Armstrong will be risked. I think we'll rotate the 3 behind Graham like we did against Brentford. Benno/Palmer/Rothwell switching between the left, middle and right support players. Raya Nyambe-Lenni-Mulgrew-Bell Evans-Smallwood Palmer-Bennett-Rothwell Graham Set out the stall not to lose. Maybe Armstrong coming off the bench.

No wonder we got relegated - look at that midfield. Awful. Mowbray is a miracle worker no doubt. Also, he's not been afraid to bring through academy players - something that wasn't happening often enough beforehand. Don't think he gets enough credit for this.
