  1. It was only at the final whistle I realised I was sat with so many City fans. Great the year after at Nob End though! Probably the moment that Preston fans decided that we were their most hated club, even though we showed a lot more class than the City fans did. It was only last week that a bunch of them were saying how we did nothing after Jack Walker died 🙂 they seem to have forgotten this one, and the league cup win a year later.
  2. The dream would have been Burnley getting stuck in the Championship and Wigan and Preston going down really. I was just sent a link of a bunch of Preston fans going on about how Venkys didn't get Rovers relegated, and we're the same size club as them. What an insufferable bunch they are. Preston fans, if any are reading, that's exactly what Venkys have reduced us to. You lot thinking you're equal. More clowns than a Pennywise cosplay event.
  3. Yes but with 13 points clear from second, I've given in to them winning. Boro and Rovers beating Sheffield Utd to go up is a dream come true though. And Wigan going down, I'll never forget them celebrating when Kean relegated us.
  4. We'd probably be able to afford a decent striker if we got promoted.
  5. What's the club debt stand at, 160m? I'd take a bad season in the PL to set the club up financially for the foreseeable.
  6. https://www.lancs.live/sport/football/football-news/sheffield-united-blackburn-rovers-referee-26511615 Not so disappointed with the referee not sending your player off, or the other numerous things he decided in your favour though, Thunderbird 2.
  7. I'd be thoroughly depressed if Tomasson left, I think overall he's done a brilliant job and it's given me some hope that there is some ambition there. Back to square one if he leaves, or worse. The last time a manager walked due to the club not matching his ambition we followed that up with Owen Coyle who proceeded to relegate us to L1.
  8. Hopefully they are absolutely humiliated, and along with a points deduction, fail to get into the play offs.
  9. There were two moments in the game where the ball was crossed in and he either wasn't there or completely missed. Looking at the replays it was because he was jogging into the box ball watching rather than running in to get onto the end of one.
  10. Even with the changes the players should have dealt with it better though. Brittain clearly wasn't warmed up, again. Gallagher showed absolutely no desire towards the end. And the less said about Morton the better. Him and Gallagher are very similar in that they'll do a few things right, but many things wrong. I think the wrong players went off and came on, but I can't blame the manager for a player's face being touched and dropping like he'd been dragon punched. Even if he had been fouled, just kick it out for a throw in to be sure. Gallagher scored a bizarre own goal, then had some excellent opportunities and doesn't even trouble the keeper. Brereton should have scored another. They should have been 3-1 down, down to 10 but they had the luck of the cup with Hedges hitting the bar. I'd say our problems are still very much off the pitch, leaving us with having to perservere with players who aren't the best.
  11. A CF and a CM and we'd be looking at the automatics.
  12. He was poor in the first half and kept giving the ball away easily in the second. He did some good things, including the excellent tackle which led to our second goal, but it's pointless if you are going to let the team down.
  13. Tbh I don't want to see Sheffield Utd for a long time. They were shithouses when we beat them and got lucky today. Awful club. What I want is for them to be docked 12 points and fall out of the play offs.
  14. What's the O'Brien debacle cost us so far, how much is it for an FA cup semi final?
  15. Contrast that with McBurnie who was fighting for everything.
  16. He should have taken Morton and Gallagher off, they may have had roles to play in being in front but they were both making a lot of mistakes.
  17. Pointless if he just gives them the ball over someone touching his face.
  18. Bowyer against Burnley. As you say they should have been down to 10, got back into the game with a lucky goal, and got the lucky bounce with Hedges shot hitting the post. Sometimes it's not your day but imagine if we'd been able to replace Gallagher with a decent striker, and had O'Brien instead of Morton. We are suffering for those executive decisions.
  19. I get your beef with Gallagher and Morton, but come on. Let's remember how we got in this position in the first place. They should have been down to 10.
  20. The subs, but more so the change of shape killed us, but yes we should have had at least one more goal. Morton giving the ball up was criminal. And we need a fecking striker. Not sure why Garrett is on.
  21. He barely touched him. Morton gave it away, they score.
