  1. Wonder whether he'll put in a bid for all those young boys he absolutely loves and raised like his own? Travis, Gallagher and Vale are available Tony!
  2. I remember reading a press release that started... "Steve Waggott leaves Coventry City after seeing the club through a difficult period." And thinking, coincidence?
  3. Is that the fella that won Eurovision a few years back?
  4. I hope Luton trounce them, the cheating point deduction dodging shitehawks.
  5. Travis and Buckley on a combined million a year don't really earn their keep. If I was the manager I'd be looking to replace with more quality asap. Hedges too.
  6. George Hirst £16,000... "But we can't afford to spend money lots of money, even if he is an excellent player." We can certainly afford to waste it.
  7. The point is that Mercer was saying how much more organised Coventry are. They were a cheated point at Ewood more organised. So how Mercer works out they were much better than Rovers, I don't know. They had their share of awful results throughout the season. 4-0 defeat at home to Stoke. 4-2 defeat at home to Norwich. 2-1 defeat at home to Blackpool. 1-0 away at reading. Conceded 4 goals to Wrexham and knocked out of the FA Cup. Yeah massively more organised.
  8. No, they had a goal scorer or two. I watched almost every team this season at some point, and all were capable of playing like they'd been on the bottle before the game. Goal scorers bailed them out, and goal difference kept us out of the play offs. That's the simple truth of the matter. Coventry were only one point away from us - which they fecking stole from us via blatant handball, and they should have had a points deduction.
  9. Annoying to see that wanker Wilson celebrating. Cheating bastard.
  10. Weird isn't it, injury time and they are still passing it to each other around the box instead of cracking it.
  11. I hope Boro blatantly handball it in the net. A hat-trick of hand balls.
  12. It's a shame for Robins who appears to be an excellent manager but with his own share of stupidity to deal with behind the scenes. Robins completely deserves it, but looking at the bigger picture, if we couldn't get O'Brien over the line then they shouldn't have had the points deduction suspended. Maybe there's more to it than that but it just seems the EFL are as inconsistent as the match day officials they employ.
  13. Boro v Cov tonight. I like Robins as a manager but find it unfair how Coventry got into the play offs. They should have had points deducted, and after their keeper basketballed it into our net, stealing two crucial points, justice will be served if Boro win. It’s such an odd governance to punish one team and two players for not getting their paperwork in on time, but less strict on a team for not having a ground to play on which affects many clubs. Either be strict with the rules or don’t.
  14. Yep, they didn’t have the Tony Mowbray journey for 5 years and idiot ceo/owners not protecting their assets. Instead, season on season building up their team and keeping hold of their good players, as well as investing wisely.
  15. Sounds like he's lost his job, so part-way there. No idea if there's any truth in it but their fans seem convinced.
  16. Players that always seemed to improve massively when not playing, due to the lack of quality that was on the pitch. They all had their moments admittedly, some less than others, but let's not gloss over the fact that the likes of Hedges, Dolan and Gallagher all let us down massively.
  17. That's terrifying when you think about it. We've just lost our only prolific goalscorer and even with him we struggled. As it stands we're looking at a massive downgrade on league position this time next year, with our only hope being a recruitment team that couldn't even get a couple of loans done in January, with buttons to spend, and a CEO who seemingly couldn't care less. Ffs, what a reality check.
  18. Who would have thought that having a balanced team that has been continually developed over several seasons, with two excellent goalscorers gets you to a play off final.
  19. Sunderland looked exactly like Rovers and the players Mowbray left behind. If you're desperate for a goal don't shoot, take a touch on it and pass it. Then lose the ball. Then repeat till defeat. I could have easily been fooled that Travis, Hedges or Dolan were in those Sunderland shirts.
  20. They were calling him a dick earlier in the season.
  21. And the O'Brien and Brierley fiasco wasn't just the only issue. Broughton needed to bring in a goalscorer and failed with time to spare, potentially costing the club a ridiculous amount of money. So I'm not sure how he gets an A grade for that.
