Even with Wharton that’s an uninspiring team. If it’s not League 1 this season it is next. Steve W happy to pick up a pay cheque and complete the operation that his namesake began. -

3-0 Rovers - Wahlstedt hat trick after JDT plays him up front out of sheer frustration after asking for a striker for 3 transfer windows. -

It says plenty about the club and owners that we're most likely going into this match without a first choice goalie and without a first choice goal scorer. -

That's perhaps the thing I was thinking of, a bonus for nothing. -

Wasn't there a "small" bonus for relegation? -

Some things to take from it. Dolan still isn't good enough. Pickering still isn't good enough. Travis still isn't good enough. Ennis was puffing and panting after a few minutes. We obviously need a striker. Apart from those negatives, Tronstad looks a good signing and Markanday and Leonard scored. If we could spend a decent amount on a good goalscorer and Sigurddsen hadn't got injured. -
You're aware of exactly what has happened since Venkys took over right? Most Rovers fans just want a well ran competitive club, not the basket case the owners have created. As J*B said it's about standards not being special. As for "what makes us do special?"

They come in, ruin the club, rack up massive debts, put chancers in the top jobs. Then when we finally get a decent manager and they won't support him. What a set of absolute shithouses. JDT will walk, we'll get someone from the scrapheap and they'll give them £10m.- 9406 replies

From Twitter. Dolan chance, straight at goalie. Gallagher chance, deflected.

"This is dross." A match day remark seen on many a match thread when TM was in charge. I wish it was as easy to forget for me. Especially this record breaking result. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/59059048

He seemed to lose it thanks to Yorke and Barry Ferguson. Other than that he was a brilliant manager for us, one of the best. I'd welcome him back.

JRC may score a few more if played in midfield too.

Waggott and his pal are still here too. Plenty for them to f**k up, veto or generally ruin. -

Didn't he say that currently we are minus money and we need to find that from somewhere, as well as transfer funds? I find the goalscoring situation very grim. We've just lost our only player capable of scoring back to back goals. And in Gregg's last two attempts at bringing a goalscorer in we got Hirst, and in January got sweet FA. He now has to unearth a relatively excellent striker to replace Brereton's goals, as well as another good striker to improve us as last year that's where we fell down. -

Yes, we have to self generate our own money because otherwise there is none - so at the moment it is bare. For any prospective manager approached by Rovers at the moment it paints a grim picture. And that doesn't help with a new manager search, especially if we're being picky about what kind of manager we're approaching. He wanted O'Brien but didn't get him. What he wants and what he does are two entirely different things. I'll be pleasantly surprised if he manages to sign 50% of the required players by the end of next month. -

Farke would be brilliant but he's not going to come here. -

Chaddy, I forgot what a nasty little fellow you were, thank for reminding me. For a guy who spouts so much docile nonsense you should really watch what you say. Some questions. I’ll answer them for you as you clearly struggle. Was Owen Coyle a bargain basement option? Yes. (I know you famously supported him during his time here so sorry if that stings) Did we have a “healthy” budget when Gregg sweet talked Tomasson. Yes. Has Gregg told us the cupboard is bare now. Yes. Are Venkys still in ultimate control? Yes. Did they employ Owen Coyle? Yes. So now I’ve jogged your addled memory, how is employing a decent manager “tripe” exactly? Are you saying in the interests of maintaining continuity you’d employ an average or even poor manager just because he wants to pass the ball? Over a solid manager that will employ any methods possible to win games? -
End of season report

So the lack of a striker and OBrien wasn’t the reason for not making the play offs on GD. Those are some heavy sweeping noises from a bloke who says he isn’t trying to brush it under the carpet 🙄 -

I think you’re mistaking what people want, and what people believe the likes of Waggott and co are capable of. If JDT goes we should be thankful of any decent manager coming here, regardless of style. It’s far more likely, given their history, they’ll employ a bargain basement version. Especially as with the egg broadcasting that we’re beginning the transfer window on minus money, it’ll be difficult to attract anyone. -

You mean the model, structure and playing style that we have due to JDT being here? If we need a new manager that means he won’t be here, so probably best just to employ the best we can muster.
