  1. Did you go to that match SC? It was as loud and charged as any of the Man Utd games during our heyday. One of the best matches I've ever been to for atmosphere, and of course result. Electric.
  2. He would if we were to believe everything written about him.
  3. I forgot about that actually. Come on Coventry!
  4. Coventry who should have had a points deduction, and robbed 3 important points off us by cheating? Coventry can get relegated for all I care.
  5. Or he's the anti-Chaddy. In which case... "We need an old Chaddy and a young Chaddy!"
  6. Conflicting reports that he hasn't even spoken to them.
  7. I know at least one member of the backroom staff on here that wasn't. I always find it sad when I meet fellow Rovers that did as it really was like a dream. Difficult to explain in words.
  8. Soz, I took it that you'd just missed out on the early 90s.
  9. And the rest who would come well before Brereton in a top 5 players. There's a lot of them, even before promotion in the early 90's.
  10. Deepest sympathies to you that you missed the glory years.
  11. Probably a good thing, they'll all be in their mid forties now.
  12. The second half performance against Millwall reminded me of the year we went up under Souness. Rampaging forward in numbers.
  13. Completely agree. I don't understand why he was thought of so highly. Perhaps the L1 promotion? I remember at the time it was expected to go back up, not a surprise. Maybe it's because Venkys dropped the bar so low people were just hungry for success and he delivered it. He constantly did strange things - £7m for a kid when we badly needed defenders. £5m for Gallagher after saying we didn't have much to spend. Too early for promotion, it's a journey for "these young boys." It's not 1995. I could go on and on about this but he doesn't deserve any more time. I completely lost faith in him during the covid season.
  14. Not Coventry because of that handball from their keeper making sure we didn't get in the play offs. Boro hopefully.
  15. Wow, weird that he's left when he's just won the league with them.
  16. Anyone else think they'll be doing well and he'll go full Pep and scupper it spectacularly?
  17. A West Ham fan photoshopped this with the Millwall crest, and very well done it was too. You can still see the Millwall Crest behind it, but well done to them for giving it a go, not easy for a Dingle.
  18. We haven't signed a striker since Summer 2019! It wasn't a good one and he blew £5m of our transfer kitty doing it. You can't tell me that Mowbray hadn't had the opportunity to sign a striker in all that time. Although after signing Gallagher for £5m and putting him on a decent salary I wouldn't be surprised.
  19. You can defend him all you like, but to tell us that he's supressed the ambitions of the club because it's too early, and then to say in his first season at his new club, it's never too early to get promoted. He's an absolute one. He was quoted saying he didn't want a centre forward January 2022, and then later he said he didn't regret signing one despite it being an obvious weakness. Obefemi and Maja? I said decent centre forward didn't I?
  20. Did he leave us without a decent centre forward, yes or no? Was it by choice, yes or no? Answers below. Mostly no - useless 5 year journey Mostly yes - cunt
  21. To be fair he was a prick before he opened his mouth. Just as uniformed as he was a terrible footballer. Up there with Keith Andrews for crappy players who managed to steal a living. People talk like he was just awful for England, but he was just awful.
