  1. With no money we'll be appointing from within, wouldn't we?
  2. Don't worry, I'd never employ you. The conditions he's working under are unnacceptable aren't they? I didn't realise it needed to be a warzone to accept that or I'd have tempered my words to make it more understandable. Bit of an over-reaction for someone who dislikes over-reactions by the way! He has players taken away from him that he feels he requires, then not adequately replaced. He requests signings and doesn't get them. We're on the verge of signing players then either due to ineptitude or the budget being cut, it doesn't happen, or the player is downgraded to a loan. The owners personal problems are impacting the club. He has several people at the club all pulling in different directions. When he started he was told we were building a side capable of mounting a promotion push. With all that considered, I'd say he's working under unnacceptable conditions to win football matches. Not fight a war, just to avoid any confusion.
  3. Yes he stuck with it over the O'Brien fiasco/not bringing in a striker last January.
  4. If he's been assured of that then he's entitled to be a bit miffed, along with the rest of it.
  5. You ask if he's been living under a rock, but you seem like you're living on a different planet if you think the conditions he's working under are acceptable. He said the other day that Wharton going is a possibility so I doubt that's it. It'll be that we've brought in a crocked 32 year old and a kid who failed at Coventry to replace him. The striker we've brought in won't be ready to play for 2-3 weeks, and we've spent barely anything. All the frustration leads back to pune, who seem nonchalant about our plight. So I don't blame him for being despondent or wants to leave. I'm glad he's arrogant, I'd rather that than a yes man like Bowyer or even worse, Coyle. And both of those had it better than JDT.
  6. They need to stop moaning if we keep losing then.
  7. That’s how I see it, but Fleck sounds like he’s finished. Be good if by some miracle he can stay free of injuries.
  8. If McGuire is good I can see the club paying for him, just because they’ll be looking at selling him on in a season or two’s time. If the money is there they won’t pass up the chance of doubling it. SS out, McGuire in.
  9. Fleck’s only got one leg according to SU fans.
  10. Shame we didn’t pick up another striker as it’s going to be a couple of weeks before we see the MLS superstar. Hopefully Dolan can pick up where he left off before his injury and Szmod can bag a couple. I’ll be interested to see how Tron and Garrett get on as that’s likely our midfield pairing for the rest of the season. Garrett now needs to step up.
  11. “Here comes Mrs Desai to screw up a well ran club.” More accurate. That was an opinion on here 12 years ago, now it’s a fact.
  12. Speaking of facts, on social media if I say Fleck has had two leg breaks and fitness issues, it’s… “burn the heretic!!!!” ”Support the lads!” “Writing him off before he’s kicked a ball!!!” If being objective is hysterically jumped on, imagine if I stated my opinion that he probably won’t play very much for us. After 13 years, people on here just don’t believe in fairies and unicorns. I prefer that. Sometimes there’s hysteria in the opposite direction but not like the Stepford Wives on Facebook and Twitter.
  13. We all wanted experience, but with McFadzean and Fleck, one fears that Gregg is one step away from necromancy.
  14. We're fucking doomed aren't we. 😂 🫠
  15. I take it all back, already a legend before he's kicked a ball. 44 seconds in.
  16. Prior to that he had fitness problems too, been poor for 3 seasons according to SU fans. A legend in his day it seems, but what the hell have we signed?
  17. Sheffield United fans say he's been shite for 3 years. Immobile, injury prone, fitness problems and on top of that he re-broke his leg which never seemed to heal properly. And he's just come back from another injury. But hey, it's experience!
  18. This John Fleck? https://www.s24su.com/forum/threads/john-fleck.92645/
  19. Is it a good signing? Sheffield United fans aren't as kind!
  20. I was being facetious. He might well develop into a goal machine but there's no way we're paying the asking price at the end of his loan.
  21. Well he's got him for four months.
  22. Why are you all getting excited, it'll be some embryo from league fucking 4 of swaziland or wherever we could find another barrel to scrape.
  23. He's only 22 so there's room to develop him. For his next club.
  24. It was pre-season for him in the States, so he'll need to get fit first. Season starts for them at the end of the month (21st?)
