  1. I'm so glad we all played well. This includes Edun and JRC. I didn't hear anyone on Radio Lancashire say any Rovers player was poor. They all played their part. Happy again.
  2. He's cracking open a bottle of lemonade. Leave him alone in his misery.
  3. We need another goal to kill it off.
  4. Someone who goes to a market day I think.
  5. I bet Annesley is crapping himself. To make a first team debut you need to be partnering Ayala or Wharton or Carter, not someone who is not a centre half. I feel sorry for the lad. I wonder what Inflikted thinks.
  6. Look at the Blackburn End and the chimneys on Kidder Street.
  7. Wow, Renrag! Brilliant to recognise a player who was only a bit-part first teamer. He wasn't really good enough to command a regular first team place. His name is vaguely familiar to me. In fact he only played twice for the first team, once in 1952/53 season and once in 1954/55 season.
  8. I remember Shankly talking about Lindsay and commenting on the strong pessimism ingrained in the player which had to be knocked out of him.............which Shankly did do in time.
  9. I cannot understand why we didn't offer another contract to Jacob Davenport, even for 12 months. Whenever he played I thought he was reasonable and always gave his all for the cause.
  10. Billy Whizz. My favourite player of that time.
  11. I reckon if you hadn't sacked Dyche and he were still your manager you'd be heading back to the Prem.
  12. Now it's time to panic Captain Mainwaring.
  13. Going geographically around the country in my mind I missed out Huddersfield, Derby, Watford, Bournemouth and Fulham. 50 it is. Thanks.
  14. Just checked Swindon who were in the Prem for the 1993-94 season. So that makes a total of 45.
  15. I've written them down and have 44, not 41. I may be wrong with Charlton Ath, Reading, Barnsley or Birmingham City but I don't know which. Also not sure of Oxford, Millwall and Swindon (not included in my 44).
  16. Has Gus Williams started work for us yet? He's the new Head of Recruitment. Broughton is Director of Football. Gus was announced on 22nd July and was due to start "next month".
  17. I think they're our bogey team.
  18. Well, you can't win them all. We'll pick ourselves up, dust ourselves down and go again. Still top after 4 games.
