  1. The black rose. Now that's an interesting name.
  2. A bit hard on our ex captain who has given us good service. I wish him the best of luck.
  3. Still not on the BBC transfer done deals page.
  4. Can we not persuade them that it was a Burnley fan who threw the snowball?
  5. I thought Swanson said Broughton and Knutsen didn't get on.
  6. Were you using warfarin, sodium fluoracetate or zinc phosphide? Oh, sorry, warfarin was replaced by brodifacoum, or as my pest control manager used to call it, "bloodyfuck'em" Half a bob was only sixpence.
  7. With a new DoF and a new Head of Marketing being appointed things are looking up as to a proper structure being put in place at the club. I'm not an ITK person at all but I wonder if Balaji's son becoming more involved in the running of the club has anything to do with it. With the weight of responsibilities being taken off Waggot's shoulders perhaps he'll have more time to spruce up Ewood Park.
  8. One thing I know is for certain in this messed-up affair. When the new manager is announced, I (and probably a lot of you) will be completely underwhelmed.
  9. If they announced Ainsworth or Damien Johnson I would be extremely relieved. The Adkins and Pardews of this world I do not want.
  10. Get your application in. You'll probably be interviewed in early July.
  11. Lovely video. That's how football should be played. 1977. Nice to see Noddy again. What a lovely man! Regarding the pitch invasion and crossbar breaking, the commentators said the fences hadn't gone up yet. The football hooligans of the 1970s and 80s are mainly responsible for the Hillsborough tragedy. Everyone who engaged in that sort of behaviour has blood on their hands. The cages and fences were erected because of this behaviour. Had there been no cages and fences at Hillsborough no-one would have died. Thank goodness there weren't any at Bradford in 1985.
  12. The best team won.
  13. Yeah. I think Huddersfield will do it too.
  14. If Balaji's son is coming to replace Pasha, to me that will be a good thing. I understand he follows football like the rest of us........Good He has been trained in poultry farming. The chicken breeders of Britain should be crapping themselves more than us Rovers supporters. Someone commented he looked old on the photo. Someone else said they don't want a "kid" running Blackburn Rovers. Anyone who has graduated from university is a young adult and certainly not a kid. Glen Mullan knows him and speaks highly of him. Surely if he comes to Blackburn to represent his family ownership and has a bit of business nous and wants the club to do well it's got to be good news for us supporters. Finally, the proof of the pudding....etc would be if he gets hit by a snowball, gathers some snow and throws one back in the spirit of things, then he'll do for me.
  15. Exactly my point, Mr Shoelaces.
  16. I suggest you read all the history books on Blackburn Rovers. However, I'll accept that the modern day supporter is happy for our team to wear shirts divided into 4 halves.
  17. Hell, Chaddy. It looks like the NHS set up. (or DVLA) (or passport office etc. etc.)
  18. Not getting at you GHR personally but just responding to all those who are aggrieved that Rovers have never been to the new Wembley.
  19. Uncle Jack specifically asked us not to invade the pitch. He, through the club, requested that no fan ever run onto the pitch. There was only one knobhead who disobeyed that request. The rest of us had so much respect for our beloved club at that time.
  20. Uncle Jack's expression.💪
  21. All these posts complaining that we haven't been to the new Wembley amaze me. Would you have preferred us to have visited the new Wembley for a play-off final instead of getting automatic promotion from League One just to tick a box? We may have lost there as well. I'd like to see our visit there for an FA Cup final or League Cup final.
