And when was the last time you saw Nyambe put over a cross? At least Lenihan did. Nyambe rarely goes forward after he's crossed the half way line and when he does he generally puts the ball back to Buckley or someone to cross it. -

My MOM was Billing. What a fantastic player! He is tall, has long legs, can run fast, can play intricate football, has a football brain, can score goals, can make goals............. Where the hell did they get him from? Lovely player! As for Rovers, we were outclassed. I'm not as incensed as I was after Posh and Potters, mind. I stayed to applaud the lads and their families. I even shouted, "Thank you, Tony" and meant it. What the hell lies in store for us now I haven't a clue. It will be an interesting summer. -
As the Americans would say................Figures.
-
Is he on trial? He's not included in the squads of any of the teams on Rovers' web site.
-
Whatever happened to that Irish lad, right full back? I cannot find him in the squads on Rovers' official site.

I think our two quick goals knocked the stuffing out of PNE. We were set up with square pegs in square holes and went at them with the intensity that we had lost so far in 2022. That performance was a joy to watch. Pickering's early booking was a disgrace. It was a foul but it wasn't cynical or vicious. There was no intent to injure. I thought the ref, by doing that, had made a rod for his own back. Look at the two bad fouls on Buckley by Whiteman towards the end which went unpunished. Gallagher's card was justified. It was cynical. Another very poor referee.

Lenihan was a midfielder when he graduated into the first team but immediately was asked to play centre back in which position he has stayed.

Looks a decent team to me. Glad to see Hedges given a start.

I'm beginning to wonder if Mowbray has become a secret Burnley supporter.

Premier League season 21/22

Yeah. Man Utd played York City in two league matches. How the mighty have fallen. (York that is). Rovers haven't got Iniesta playing for them; one of the greatest midfield players of all time. -

Yes. I remember when the Prem was formed and Oldham were founder members and wanted it to remain a closed shop. The arrogance!! -

North End got their floodlights before us. I'm sure I've told this story before but our floodlights were far brighter than those at Deepdale. Me and my mate, a lad called Geoff Jackson from Queensway, Bamber Bridge, went on Ewood and we took a Northender with us (I think his name was Tony Glynn). Before the game Geoff asked Tony if our floodlights were as good as Deepdale. He agreed that they were as good but not better. Geoff and I, of course, knew only two pylons were shining so when the other two were switched on Geoff told a sheepish Tony that they were twice as good. Halcyon days! -

My grandson is visiting us from Spain and is travelling down by coach from Ewood. I hope, for his sake, Rovers play well and win well. If that happens we will never wipe the grin off his face. -
Liverpool beating Villarreal? Do you realise Villarreal have beaten Bayern Munich, Juventus and Atalanta? I wouldn't presume a Liverpool victory.

Lancs Constabulary should prosecute him for fraud.

No. That was Simon Garner.

You're shouting at a brick wall.

I think Blackpool will win. Gut feeling. Call me pessimistic but I've watched Rovers for too long and TM cannot organise a booze-up in a brewery. 1-2

Just watched the 2nd half. We CAN play decent football when set up properly. We looked quite strong. Brereton and Rothwell looked great driving at their defence. Buckley was taken off for Hedges after winning a corner from which we scored. Strange management! When Nyambe got injured on 92 minutes he was really struggling. Shocking, shocking management for him not to be taken off and us go down to 10. You have to protect the players. I remember Harry Chapman doing his hamstring and then being allowed to continue thereby exacerbating the problem. Oh what a Steve Cooper or a Neil Critchley would do with our boys. -

I've just finished watching the first half. No way were we as bad as the first half against Derby. Why JRC, Pickering, Buckley, Rothwell and Gallagher are singled out for vitriol is beyond me. Manager's set up was disgraceful and every time a good cross was put into the box there was no-one there. Travis was best player of the 45. It's obvious that the management team are not picking the right players in the right positions. They aren't enthusing the team before kick-off. The training methods must be poor. Set pieces are absent in every game. We have endured 5 years of this. It really is time for a change. To recap..........I don't blame the players. They must be as sick of mis-management as I am. Tomorrow I'll watch the second half. -
That's because they've got a good manager who can organise average players. We'll never go up with this clown in charge.
