  1. If our team plays to its best Forest have no chance, new manager or not. I don't know why people are shivering in their boots.
  2. Didn't he come on as a sub at Ewood and play well? Why do I think that game was v Man Utd? Was it a cup or a friendly? Got it! 19/02/2017 FA Cup 5th round Rovers 1 Man Utd 2. Tomlinson played.
  3. He has at least one first team appearance for Rovers on his CV which, I suppose, is something.
  4. Fulham have also brought in Loftus-Cheek on loan and someone else from abroad. Looks like they're going to make a fight of it to stay up.
  5. Cardiff were a very difficult side to beat today. In previous seasons we would have lost that game with a sucker punch. I'm quite happy with a point.
  6. It took Chris Sutton a long time to become a pundit. He now has a regular slot on 606. I never liked the bloke during his football career; his character that is. But as a radio pundit I think he's great. Now Roy Keane shouldn't be allowed on TV. The man is boring; no charisma whatsoever.
  7. #13 “Whichever team scores more goals usually wins.” Except if you are Blackburn Rovers with Shane Duffy playing centre back.
  8. A season pass is the new name for a season ticket. It entitles you to a reserved seat at every home match if and when we are allowed back into Ewood Park. Being a senior citizen, I paid £269 for my season pass. Until we can go into the ground it entitles me to watch 23 home games and 7 midweek away games on ifollow. I think there is some sort of discount off next season's pass as well.
  9. And how does that save them from points deduction. Please expand, Philip, but in simple terms and not too long.?
  10. Won 4-0. Ayala had 60 minutes. As the second half wore on the game became more stretched and Leicester, who had matched the Rovers so far, became second best. Lewis Thompson scored Rovers first from a corner. Connor McBride got two good goals. He looks very promising. Substitute Brennan got the fourth. Nice to see Joe Grayson fit again. Buckley ran the show. Chapman looked good. The rest were fine. An Annesley mistake nearly cost us. Fisher didn't have a lot to do. I watched it from 50 minutes on the Leicester site. Enjoyable.
  11. Oh Mr Shoelaces! You've beaten me to it. I've been trawling through this thread since page 6 and loving every minute of it. I was going to give this same info when lo! and behold! my reply is given for me. ? What a great result. But............(back down to earth) it's only 3 games into the season. Looks very promising. Let us hope it continues. We need to grind it out. And, we won't be 4th come Monday night. Still............for now...............woooooohoooooo?
  12. 2nd leg is remembered by me for the Lionheart of Ireland............ Kevin Moran scoring our vital goal.
  13. Dolan has a lot to learn about opposition hard men and how to take the knocks that undoubtedly he will receive. I remember Harry Chapman scoring a similar goal (i.e.at the second attempt). Harry did his hamstring and hasn't looked the same player since. I hope Dolan stays free of injury and that this early super success doesn't go to his head.
  14. Evans, Johnson and Holtby are prone to being injured. Travis is out for a while. We need Buckley, Davenport and Rothwell. There's always Mr reliable Bennett as back up also. Buckley is developing into a superb player and should continue in our first team doing it.
  15. I said before Ayala to replace Lenihan. Now is the ideal time. Ayala and Williams as CBs and Lenihan can take over from the injured Travis. After all Lenihan is a midfielder who has been played out of position for seasons. It's time for him to show us his midfield skills.
  16. Radio Lancs said Travis was hobbling. We had already used our 3 subs. Why was he allowed to continue thereby making his injury worse? Same happened to Harry Chapman when he was on loan. He did his hamstring and was allowed to continue for a while. Absolutely shocking management.
  17. We seem to have been on top so far. Why have we not scored yet?
  18. Both Atletico Madrid and Athletic Bilbao were formed by Basques. Both used the blue and white Rovers colours and now both play in red and white stripes. ?
  19. Why is everyone upset? Any team who wants to look like us because they admire us has to be applauded. Look at Athletic Bilbao who, at their formation, wanted the team strip of the greatest club football team in the world at that time which was the Rovers. The person charged with obtaining the strip went to Southampton, England but failed to get the Rovers strip so bought the strip of the local team; red and white stripes. The away strip is sometimes blue and white quarters I believe in honour of the Rovers.
  20. That is what I like about watching football. I love it..............as long as it's not the Rovers doing silly things.
  21. I'd personally be surprised if we did. Defenders are coming TM ?
