Judging by the motor vehicles I'd say it was pre-war. When did trilby hats become fashionable?

Brentford (A) - 12:30pm KO (Sat 22nd Feb 2020)

I am very very pleased with what TM is doing at Rovers. We are a very tough side to play against. We look so solid even when being battered by one of the best teams in the division. A big improvement to Brentford away last season. Good point today. Full of confidence for the rest of the season. -

If we win this one 2-0 will we be on for automatic promotion? Good luck, Rigger. Let us know how you get on. I suppose a taxi from Euston to Griffin Park is too expensive. -
Tugay Kerimoglu goal with Andy Gray commentary..
bazza replied to Letkajenkka's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
It was a right wing corner taken by MGP. Instead of putting it into the penalty area or trying to score direct as he often did, MGP sent it pre-arranged to Tugay outside the box who hit it so sweetly on the volley. Two great goals that day. Nothing Fulham could have done about either goal. -
Any chance of Lottery numbers for this Saturday?

Yeah. A lot of games are quite dead at Ewood.

Pity it wasn't our highest finish for 25 years. Looks like it's going to be Brentford's. -

I thought every Fulham player did very well also. -

We were played off the park today by the best team at Ewood so far this season. Referee was good for a change. Bryan, their left back, was excellent and gave as good as he got from Nyambe. He is a product of Bristol City youth and cost 6 million. And he was only one of 11 other excellent players. Rovers were outclassed. Bring on Hull. -
Chapman was another when on loan who went back on the pitch after injuring his hamstring.

All these injuries this season makes me wonder about our training methods. Do other teams have as many injuries as we do? I know PNE fans complain about theirs. Should we be looking in depth at the methods used, the training staff and the medical staff? Serious injuries; Cunningham, Dack, Grayson, and Butterworth. Other players affected by injury; Brereton, Magloire, Tosin, Lenihan, Williams, Nyambe, Evans, Rothwell and now Holtby. That's 13 players and the season is only 2/3rds through.

They've sold their two main strikers.

I just hope Downing doesn't have a stinker, being back at his old club.

Yes. I agree. Becoming a real gem of a player.

I thought exactly the same thing but thought I would look foolish if I questioned it. Thanks for doing it for me.

I thought that Friedel and Ince didn't get on (see eye to eye) when they both played for Liverpool and, as soon as Ince was appointed manager, it was Friedel who insisted on leaving. Maybe the investment failure was a smoke screen for the real reason.

I didn't know he belonged to Burnley. Have we made a bid for him, that being why he's being recalled?

The Second Class - Rovers Hall of Fame 2020
bazza replied to rog of the rovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Yes. Half of them in the left full back area of the Darwen End and the other half in the left full back area of the Blackburn End, so I am led to believe. Craig Bellamy? Roque Santa Cruz? Benny McCarthy? Also, a non-footballer who made a world of difference to Rovers was Lawrence Cotton. And if you're going for Andy McEvoy and Tommy Briggs, don't forget Ted Harper. What a great nostalgic thread this is! -
Difficult to tell. Last week I thought Evans was play-acting.
-
Maybe Tony did his homework as usual and got our tactics right against them. If so, expect him to chop and change the team to face QPR. Let's hope he gets it right again.

We might lose 4-3

Try and do a Leicester away at Southampton.

In which case every bicycle kick which scores a goal should be penalised and the goal disallowed.

January transfer window 2020
bazza replied to GunnerRover7's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
If Tony says we'll have to rely on youth then bring it on. Time to see JRC, Lyons, Mols, Vale and the rest in the first team. Pity some of them have long term injuries. But I won't hold my breath.
