In danish media there is an article about interest from an established Championship club in Leicester GK Daniel Iversen. Wondering if that could be us. -
January transfer window 2020

Is he our new left back? -
For me that second GIF is a freekick all day.
-
Im so confused after this window. Mowbray has been talking a lot about our european scouting network and we haven't signed anyone from abroad. Im pretty sure we haven't signed anyone that Tony didn't know everything about. He has also talked about the need for new defenders. We have loaned 2 so we now have 3 left backs, 1 right back and 2 centre backs assuming we are selling Mulgrew. Is he gonna try out a new formation or is he back to the round holes thing?
-
Im not overly impressed with this. He haven't exactly been banging in the goals. Its a decent signing, not great. Besides that Im still confused about all this talk about our overseas scouting department when all we are signing are players from the UK.
-
I thought we were about to see the fruits of our extended scouting network and we are linked with Johnson, Adam, Downing, Butterfield, Dann, Gallagher and Ruddy. Im confused.

Can we get that indian kid on the pitch? Cant be any worse....

Wagner is a good shout actually. Wouldn't mind that one bit. Still don't think TM is on his way out.
-
Lets try and entertain this TM out idea. Who are the alternatives?
-
This tactic of playing long balls is so ridiculous. TM really needs to get it together soon.
-
As a club in that has been in chaos over the last 8 years we need stability. Sure TM is not the most exciting manager ever, but he is stable manager who seems like a decent guy as well. That is something we can relate to. His mistake was to say that he had hopes that we could bounce through the championship. That put some pressure on himself. I like the guy and would be happy if he stayed. And im intrigued to see what players he can find from around Europe.

This is an awful game but Im watching it with a danish commentator who calls our players Newtall, Nyambé and Trayvis. This makes it even more awful. -
The only possible reason I can think of is that he haven't been producing in training. If he has been training like he played yesterday he should have been in the team ages ago. If he is not in the squad (at least) for the next game it makes no sense.
-
Lewis Travis did quite well yesterday. Will he be in the squad for the next game?
-
So your point is that we are not very good at producing first team players? With the amount of money we are putting in to the academy we should be getting some outcome of that. Nyambe and Raya have made the step up but we should really be seeing that on a regular basis. Tomlinson, Hardcastle, Wharton, Platt, Travis haven't been able to do so. The question is why is that? Is Mowbray to careful? Is it a mentality problem? Its interesting to look at Hardcastle because he was able to play mens football on a regular basis when he was 16-17. Now he is 20 and can't get any playing time at a level marginally higher than Salford 3 years ago. The example with Leeds is quite interesting because 2 years ago they were a club in turmoil, and now they have the guts/space/stability to rely on multiple youth players.

Would seem so

I trust in TM. When Brereton came in he said we shouldnt rush him. I believe he will become a big player for us. If there was a 19 year old player who could produce immediately he would never come to Rovers for a measely 7 mil. We see it all over the world. Clubs pay big money for talent and hope they eventually come good. Barca paid massively for Dembele and Malcom. Monaco paid massively Pellegri and so on. Of course these are all on a bigger scale but when you go for young players you pay for the talent. They are rarely the finished article and have a lot of developing to do. Physically and mentally.
