I think I read somewhere that Mowbray wanted Championship experience. We didn't really get a lot of that so so far Im gonna go with failure.

TBH Im quite disappointed today. This is mostly based on TMs words about signings. I had been looking forward to today and expected a minimum of 1 signing. That being said its not the end of the world. Hopefully we can get some decent loans in with a view to making them permanent.

Funny thing about that George John. He was a monster for FC Dallas and then he was out injured and never really came back. He was loaned out to West Ham at one point. Just guessing here but Im thinking he was too slow.

FC Copenhagen is apparently very keen on getting Andreas Bjelland. It is reported that he wants to stay abroad though and play at a higher level than Brentford, so its probably safe to say we won't be signing him.

How about that young striker Joel Asoro? Isn't he supposed to be a pretty big talent?

Anyone else following the u-18 match against Man U at the moment? Its on Man U tv. We are down 2-0 at half time and there is basically a massive difference in class. The technical levels of our players leave a lot to be wanted. We have barely been in their half and are having a hard time stringing more than 2 passes together. I get that our players are probably a bit younger than theirs but Im struggling to figure out what our forward thinking players will learn from this. A guy like Kyle Connell have been chasing the ball during the first half. He has barely touched the ball. Besides this this is apparently our ninth loss in a row.

So Jack Vale has signed on until 2020. He seems like a decent prospect. Anyone know anything about him?

Which of the youngsters backheeled the ball before the fourth goal in the 5-1 win. That was quite a display of technique. Was it Kyle Connell?

A game most of our players will be looking to forget. Man U has some very good players. We had a good period of 20-30 minutes in the first half where we were dominant. Our defensive players had a hard time today. They had a very hard time dealing with Man U´s technical players. Especially Angel Gomes. He looks a player. At some point in the second half our keeper hit his head and after that he looked lost. He should have been taken off. Butterworth looks decent though and Kyle Connell could be an excellent prospect. He has some flair and some technique. He made some good runs that made it hard for their defenders. He is still only 16 so he could be quite interesting. Our left back Thompson looked quite good going forward.

He didn't play last night. Is that because he is injured or just not good enough?

Good article. There is no doubt in my mind that the clubs have a massive responsibility in offering some sort of educational program for the youngsters while they play football. Football is important but it cannot be the only thing in a young persons life.

Wise decision. Who wants to spend that much money without basically knowing what they are getting. I´ll for sure try it out and if it works satisfactory I will purchase the full season.
