  1. BRISA has a committment from JW to meet with their members - date to be arranged at a later date. I'm sure overseas members would be able to submit questions to him via email. Absolutely. BRISA met with JW and TF last week to lay out the guidelines for future meetings. All this information is being posted out to BRISA members soon. BRISA website
  2. Rovers were unsure about extending Tugays' contract for this season. Sign him up now for next year. Played the full 90 mins today and looked as good as he ever has.
  3. USABlue, overseas members, of which we have quite a few, will have the same input as any other member. Yes, we want ideas suggestions and thoughts on anything that affects BRFC and the fans.
  4. BRISA has a meeting in January with the club. The agenda has yet to be properly formalised, but it's probable that attendances will be on the first agenda. BRISA will be asking members for their input, to be forwarded to the club. If anyone believes that they can contribute to that discussion, or any other discussions that will take place with the club, then join BRISA. £5/year for family membership. roversisa.co.uk
  5. At what precisely?
  6. Mark Longden is a national council member on the Football supporters federation [FSF]. This is an organisation that BRISA might well join, to be able to campaign on national issues, on behalf of Rovers fans. One other thing. I hope people who have become members of BRISA just bear with us for a short while. There has been a lot of technical work going on behind the scenes over the weekend, [not by me] , in order for BRISA to function to it's utmost.
  7. Looking at the fact that almost half of the poll said Bellamy wasn't their first choice, and assuming that the first choice was McCarthy [because he was the only other player in the frame at the time], how many people would honestly swap Bellers for McCarthy now? One hand - a player who knows the prem inside out and is a superb, proven player, on the other hand - a player who is not proven at prem level? C'mon, anyone still swap?
  8. Good stuff Oscar. Once BRISA stops being honest, it's finished.
  9. The one nearest the turnstiles was me, Oz. Wasn't you who bollocked me because there was a guy outside who's ticket wasn't being accepted, was it Oz?
  10. Was the guy who gave you a leaflet a good looking young man? If so, it wasn't me. If not, it could have been me.
  11. None of us know what BRISA's response would have been because we don't exist yet. It is a great question though. Without answering it directly, I would say that IMO, BRISA shouldn't fall into the trap of telling it's members what to do. Simple as that. Short answer, but that's how I see things. For the reasons you brought that point up, it's important that we get the media side of things right. Incidentally, what would your response have been, if you had been BRISA spokesperson?
  12. ROVERS fans will be given the chance to have their voices heard with the creation of the Blackburn Rovers Independent Supporters' Association. [bRISA} The club have given recognition to BRISA and will have regular, minuted meetings with BRISA. The new body will campaign on key issues affecting the club, such as declining attendances at Ewood Park, supporter representation within the club and transparency from the owners of Blackburn Rovers, particularly regarding the Jack Walker Trust - as well as matters concerning football in general. Neil Thornton, BRISA media spokesman, said: "We expect Rovers to seek our opinions and advice on issues which affect supporters. All Blackburn Rovers fans are invited to the free, public launch of BRISA at Blues Bar, Ewood Park on Thursday, October 27 at 7.30pm. The Lancashire evening telegraph are also reporting the story Here Fans can join BRISA at the official launch on Thursday 27th October, and online at www.roversisa.co.uk, or by enclosing a £5 cheque, payable to BRISA, and sent to: BRISA P O Box 381 Chorley Lancashire
  13. Another appeal for helpers before the Leeds game. If anyone can help with leaflet distribution, it would be appreciated. Just put your name on here please.
  14. I was there . Surprised you weren't.
  15. Bruce is just trying to divert attention from the real facts of the game - Brum were dire. Pen or no pen, their performance got what it merited, absolutely nothing. Reminds me of the Hodgson days, always the refs fault.
  16. RIML, pm Stu, I'm sure he'd appreciate any help.
  17. "relegation battle"? That suggests there are two teams in the bottom three! The cheek.
  18. Just a reminder that you can join online now. You don't have to wait for the official launch. Several people have already signed up. It's really simple and only costs a fiver for yourself and up to four other household members.. Join online
  19. There's a good looking guy on the website, but I thought Mike was doing it?
  20. Well, to avoid the crush, as Paul said, people can sign up online now. It's dead easy and only costs a fiver for the household. We already have members, so come on join us: BRISA membership now open.
  21. Yes. A whole range of local/national media outlets now know of BRISA.
