  1. Flitty has just been on SSN, saying that he's upset at losing the captaincy. Not just that, but the fact that the only way he knows about it is through the press. Nobody at ewood has told him. If it's true, it's a poor way for rovers to go about their business.
  2. Yeah, but you lot played with shorts down to your knees, collars round your head and caps on. Not as hard as you think you were.
  3. Because if people don't like the negative approach to everything, including cup games, they wont exactly bust a gut to get down to Ewood, will they?
  4. Well for my two penneth: The main reason for falling S.T. sales has been the ABYSMAL home form in the last three seasons. For the major part - really poor. Ten home defeats last season. Contributory factors being that there is no interest in any cup competition, nor is there any percievable ambition to do anything other than be around next year to go through the exact same motions. OK, Ok, I know this is all old hat - it's all been said before. My point is this - John Williams, the board, the Jersey trustees - whoever, are responsible for the running of BRFC.These problems have been pointed out to them through various avenues. Individuals and the fans forum members have all told them of the problem. It is their job to address the problems and to sell BRFC as a desirable item [in want of better words]. In view of what they have been told, what has anyone at the club done to address these problems. Does anyone recall any messages of real ambition being shouted from the rooftops? What has been done to really turn a very poor rovers side into one of real quality or indeed has anyone heard that rovers will be gunning for all cup competitions next season, with a full strength squad? It's alright saying it's down to the fans to turn up and support the side every week, but the people in charge of running this club must take their share of the blame for falling season ticket sales. The only people who can turn around the displays of the last three years are John Williams, the board and the Jersey trustees. They are responsible for the goods on sale.
  5. Blackburn Rovers today completed their third major signing of the summer. Dominic Matteo signed a three year contract, joining from Leeds United. The move involved no fee. 6. More trouble at Leeds. James Milner sale causing unrest Yorkshire post
  7. It isn't the first time i've done that Bryan, definately wont be the last. Sorry philipl. To me, the quoting facility is simply encouraging arguments. It's too easy to put up a quote and reply with an abusive retort. I suspect the removal of the quoting facility would help to address some of the slanging problems we have. However, as has been pointed out to me before, the complete removal of it would be like using a sledgehammer to crack a nut. There doesn't seem to be an easy way round that one.
  8. Glad you brought this up Kamy. I've been thinking about the [problem]? for a while and wondered what other members think about the situation. Is it really declining in standard? What should be done to improve the quality of posts? The mods are there to monitor posts, but in all honesty, there is only so much they [we] can do about the quality, without acting like the Gestapo. 2 questions: 1 Is the quality of posts on the m/b falling 2 What can be done to improve the situation.
  9. Just a quick reply to that Paul and not to do with sky really: Using the players over inflated wages as an excuse not to renew S.T's, is just that, an excuse. I suspect that if rovers were paying huge wages and were top of the Prem, they would renew. It's not the players wages that's the problem, it's the players performances.
  10. I reckon he's Mickey'sNo1fans Brother.
  11. Agree with SteB, Gerrard is the main man in this England team. An absolute monster of a player. Pity Houllier always used him in a negative manner. Allow the guy a free rein, there's no one better.
  12. As it says three posts above and has said on the sumer signings thread since early this morning. Since when do the lazy gits at the LET update thier site before 2pm Since 9:27 this morning. link

  14. If he can blend his sweet left foot, with using them both to get back in front of Mickey Gray when needed , then alongside Cole and Stead when required, then he'll do ok. If not, he'll have to get used to the bracing Morecambe air. That'll be an experience for him.
  15. For those of you who don't read the media watch forum, a short extract from fansfc.com: "De Pedro was one of Spain’s stars in the 2002 World Cup but had a disappointing last season in San Sebastián, drifting in and out of the team."
  16. Blackburn Rovers, this morning, revealed that Turkish midfielder Tugay has signed a new, one year contract. Tugay was out of contract at the end of last season and it was reported that one of his previous clubs, Galatasaray, were keen on signing him. His new contract includes an option for another one year. Full story can be seen on the Official rovers website This story is being discussed, along with more rovers news on the forums section of brfcs.com
  17. According to MC, rover's have confirmed the signing of Javier De Pedro.
  18. Sporting Lisbon friendly confirmed. Official site
  19. What Revidge is trying to say, is I think, that this is yet another negative statement coming out of Ewood Park, [assuming of course, that it is a responsible piece of reporting]. Fully agree. Another viewpoint to the argument, if there's no money, there's no money, is that there is another option. Go back to increasing the overdraft again. That is the job of the board of course, but they have to balance the consequences of having a squad that would possibly struggle to stay up again, with the situation of the overdraft.
  20. Any keeper going the right way, would have saved that penalty. Still think England deserved the win because the french were feeding on scraps all night. No doubting though, that on pure footballing ability, the french are streets ahead. We will struggle to qualify now.
