It’s being built just over a mile from central Leyland. If you come out of Leyland along Stanifield lane to the biggish roundabout where you would ge left towards the tip and entrance to the Leyland asslebly plant, it’s just off that roundabout. I think it’s good that Lancs are looking to branch out into other areas of Lancs, but to be honest I expect very few senior mens games to be played there, although Lancs do say they will play some senior games there. For starters I don’t think there are currently any plans to build stands there, although that could change. They will build “natural sloping areas” for viewing.

It will be a new all year round development which will host a number of mens and womens matches every year. comprising two pitches it will be a fully equipped training facility and will become a centre of excellence for womens cricket. Its all part of Lancs plans to expand into communities and encouraging youngsters to take up the game. Work will start this year and finished by 2024.

I honestly don’t know why. 5 years now and this has been his best, yet unless something happens now to leave us all dumbfounded, it’s ending in a massive disappointment. Why would any fan want to continue with him in charge next season? What do you honestly think next season holds and what have you seen to make you believe he’s the best man to get us promotion?

I don’t know Gav. Bumble’s earned the opportunity to say what he wants to say in my opinion. It just sounds to me that the removal of the other long term sky pundits has rattled him. It was a better commentary box with those guys IMO.

I don’t either. He brushes away any talk of it and tells the fans they expect too much. Mowbray is happy working with young players on the training ground and picking up an awful lot of money every week. He doesn’t want the expectations and sees that as unwanted pressure. Which is fine - somewhere else.
