  1. They could develop an elite training facility without selling a huge chunk of it for housing. That’s just bullshit to say otherwise.
  2. So there it is. The club WILL sell off part of Brockhall for housing. Nothings going to change that.
  3. The covenant on the land mentioned earlier in this thread was inserted there by @Paul while he helped out with the trust -I believe. He could be your man.
  4. That’s one impressive lady. Huge respect.
  5. I believe it’s got entangled in red weed. It’s everywhere.
  6. Fantastic. Love this stuff. The science and engineering behind these voyages are mind bending.
  7. Is Waggott strong enough to tell Venkys they have to sack him?
  8. No attempt to protect his own player. It wouldn’t have been difficult. It would have been the decent thing to do.
  9. Website. Currently 302,000 miles away but moving PDQ. https://mars.nasa.gov/mars2020/
  10. Sorry - just before 9 pm.
  11. For those interested, it begins its landing tonight just before 8 pm. Fascinating.
  12. 5 mill should have bought goals in this league. That would have made a huge difference to our league position. Then add the 7 mill on Brereton and where would/should we have been?
  13. Gallagher might have been better playing central, but he’s still hopeless as a centre forward. He must be one of the worst we’ve ever had - and we’ve had some bad ones. Name me one successful rovers team that has had only one goal scoring striker? I mean, even 10/12 goals from a proper centre forward would have had us up there challenging.
  14. They’re a good side so we’ll just welly it every time we get the ball? - because from where I was sitting, that’s all we did. This is one day after saying he couldn’t play the short passing game he wanted to play because of Danny Graham.
  15. That busy whingeing, missed our goal.
  16. What positives can he take from this?
  17. Spot on Mercer. If a manager hasn’t got that, he shouldn’t be managing. Would he not want that from his players either?
  18. Labyrinth and Emile Sande - let me see beneath your beautiful.
  19. No they wouldn’t because the pitch deteriorated badly - which is my point.
  20. Maybe you’re right guys. Rohit did bat well for sure. While the wicket was breaking up yesterday, it is disintegrating quickly - it will do once the top has gone. It would have been a worse wicket today for sure, but not that worse to explain the difference between the first innings scores. To have had any chance on this wicket though, England had to bat first. As I said after just half a dozen overs - if India got a big first innings score they would win the test match.
  21. Pitch not fit for 5 day test match. It was breaking up after 6 overs. All about the toss. If India had lost the toss there’s every chance they would have gone 2-0 down. Write this one off, take it on the chin and move to the next test still level.
  22. I can’t really believe they don’t care. Nobody puts in hundreds of millions to anything they don’t need to without at least being interesting. Being so far away and not knowing very much about the football business, they have to rely on others. Since the day they arrived they made the wrong staffing decisions. After Williams and Finn only one CEO - or was it deputy CEO under no actual CEO (can’t remember his name - hunt?) stood up to them and was promptly sacked. They don’t like being told they’re wrong, so nobody tells them they’re wrong.
  23. Correct ARA. The two centre backs had needlessly been dragged wide leaving their man completely unmarked right in front of goal. Nyambe HAD to come over. If I were Nyambe this morning and had heard Mowbray singling me out for being at fault for the first goal, on TV, when I’d done the right thing I would be blazing. I’m sure he is - along with a few more.
