  1. and the second thought should be - “up the pace, use the full width of the field and run them ragged”. Certainly don’t drop the pace and play in front of them. That’s the worst thing you can do and makes it as easy as it can for them.
  2. If you take the last four mins at Leeds, that’s 5 goals in 14 mins
  3. That’s that then. Won’t beat 10 men ?
  4. Hopefully just resting them. - not that I agree with that either. Play your strongest team in every championship game.
  5. That line up looks defensively challenged to me.
  6. Prioritising games in the Championship? Goodness me, I hope not. That would be pathetic.
  7. You don’t need to know any of those things to judge a players ability though - and that is what the bottom line is here. People are basically saying they’ve not seen any great pace or technique. That’s not going to change is it?
  8. How long does it take you to be able to judge a player Biz?
  9. Went to all those games Tyrone. Byrom was known in some quarters as the golden boy of football. Big mistake selling him. Plenty of strikers are regulars in their teams at Breretons age.
  10. question for people. what would you expect to see in a striker/forward that you had paid £7m for? I would expect to see either terrific pace, or excellent technique. I wouldn’t expect both for that money or in this league, but what other attributes would you expect for that money?
  11. I don’t know.
  12. It’s simple Mike. If Mowbray thought he was good enough to start, he would start him. He obviously doesn’t think he’s up to it. To be fair to Mowbray, he has to pick his best side. Playing players he doesn’t think are good enough, just to give the fans a look at him wouldn’t be at all professional.
  13. Haven’t seen rovers a lot lately, but for me after Saturdays performance, Williams wouldn’t start at left back again. Don’t think I’ve ever seen a left back taken to the cleaners by average players - as he was against PNE.
  14. I’m dismayed enough 47er thank you. However, if we must dissect - and there are good arguments about offside decisions ( or not) the fact is an average side like PNE managed to score two goals in the first ten - and two more afterwards. That’s quite a disgraceful performance if we are honest and especially if you’re the manager. It’s just not acceptable. Going into a local derby and falling over like we did is embarrassing. A few of the players went onto twitter to apologise to the fans afterwards, but personally I don’t fall for that. Don’t apologise, that makes no difference. Go out and perform a whole lot better than that, - that’s your answer. Just do it. Get on with it and that includes Mowbray. I believe you can. I believe you are better than that.
  15. Yesterday’s display just emphasised that for away games like PNE we need for a solid squad capable of playing 4-4-2 with Dack and Graham up front and options man for man on the bench - pretty standard stuff really. We seem to be quite a way from that. we are better than we were yesterday though.
  16. That statue of a bloke falling over in a puddle is crap as well.
