  1. Ya,it clicked yesterday alright. If he can combine the 2...
  2. Well put to be fair. Ya, I think it's because he's light and looks very easy to shunt off the ball. That's his biggest weakness. He can pick a pass, but I don't think him getting the odd one wrong leads many fans to attack him or think it's an issue. It's how weak he looks. Now if he starts picking unbelievable passes out all the time, nobody will care about how physical he is, or isn't
  3. Never said it was a negative. Re-read my post.
  4. The 3 of them wouldn't have had to make up for his 19 goal tally. We could have won more games by scoring less goals. A lot of tight games where Armstrong was extremely greedy. At the start,he scored a good few in games we hammered the opposition. Ultimately a 1-0 would do the same job. Over a full season the 3 of them probably could have gotten 19 though. Dack got 18 by himself last season. Gallagher scored 12 in a poor team playing centre forward. Dolan has 3 this season and he has barely played. As for suiters, well let's just see. As you say yourself when it suits, we don't know if there have been any offers, it doesn't sound like there has. His link up play is very poor. When you talk about him not being greedy recently and showing "sides of his game that you didn't think were there", I do wonder if you are seeing things you want to see. As a lone front man, he doesn't do enough for a team like us with his all round play. If he's not scoring,he is a problem. Then you break down the goals he scored, which were penos, how many in games early on when we steam rolled teams? 5 in 2 games against Wycombe and Coventry. He needs a partner, or to be moved to the left. I'm not against keeping him. I would be amazed if we get £25 million for him. I would bite their hand off.
  5. It's clear as day we are a better team without Armstrong. Been noticeable for a good while. I think something changed with around the time to that Bristol city game where he went from greedy, to taking the piss. Which coincided with our double dip downward spiral. Not saying it's his fault, as maybe a different manager could integrate him in a way that benefits the team (upfront with Gallagher?). As things stand he doesn't link up or bring others into play in any make, shape or form. 56 more shots than the next player in the league. Outrageous.
  6. Interesting how much better we look as a team with Armstrong not playing
  7. Johnson is not a gamble? Absolute nonsese. Change must be made alright, not for someone with no experience though. It's enough we are giving that opportunity to PL clubs kids at centre half.
  8. You have no idea what he would or would not accept. So,if you don't have suggestions, maybe dont go around specialising in critiquing others that offer them. It can come across as annoying. Put forward an alternative. We could all say we don't have a clue and it's up to the club, but it would be fairly boring here if that was the case.
  9. Leprechauns? Are you ok? I think you're a bit silly Richard. Go back to when you quoted me first and highlighted one sentence. I have clearly said numerous times I think Mowbray should go. Including in that post. Anyway, on Johnson. Integrating players into the under 23s who are coming back from injury, really? That's enough qualifications for you in your criteria? If you don't understand the differences between managing a team of under 23s and a senior team, well I really don't know what to say. We have had this conversation on here before. The vast majority never make the move to senior. We should not give someone that opportunity here, particularly now. We simply cannot afford the gamble.
  10. Well of course he would be in a with a shout for the job too, depending on how things go until the end of the season. You still not got any suggestions?
  11. Johnson has worked with kids. Kids making their way in the game, easily moulded. Would do anything to make it in the game. Setting up a team and playing a system at that level means very little really when it comes to senior games in Championship football. He could be worse than Mowbray. We need someone at least with senior management experience ,wherever that may be. We simply cannot afford to gamble on an unproven coach right now. They need to have a plan beyond Johnson when they sack Mowbray,or should I say if they sack Mowbray.
  12. And guarantees nothing. Not the one I would go for, even as caretaker.
  13. A bit ya, but our current midfielders have a ways to go before they have the career he had. Average enough as it was. Well, solid lets say.
  14. Irrelevant, plus he stayed at that level and played under different managers after Ince left.
  15. POLL! POLL! POLL! Have an "other" section too though, but peoples have to say who the other would be if they go for that option. Also, I see loads of mentions of Wilder. I don't think that's realistic in the slightest. He would have far, far better offers.
  16. Missed him in different ways too though. A bit of physicality. With Travis so badly out of form, it made it even more noticeable.
  17. Dyche is a one off, but I agree, not having championship experience isn't a reason to rule someone out
  18. We have missed Johnson to be fair, but let's not pretend that Holtby makes a huge difference. Not a guy I would want in a releagtion battle either. He has been such a disappointing signing. Mowbray is shameless with his spin
  19. What did they go for? Because I can't see many similarities between the Cowley's and Dyche!
  20. I said he should go now, but I added what I think will happen. Even with Mowbray, we should have enough to stay up. Between points on the board and quality of player though. Awful that this is where we are at all the same. He sounds like he even thinks he should be gone. It's classic Venkys
  21. The problem is we would probably have better options if we wait until summer. The Barnsley manager if they don't go up for example, along with others off the managerial merry go round. Mowbray still needs to go though, so who takes over and tried to get us to safety? It's going to be Mowbray ,or someone from left field. I'm still in the Keane til the end of the season camp. I just don't see many options out there at the moment.
  22. Did far more in his career than any of them and unless the 3 of them buck up and start delivering regularly, they won't even get to play in the Premier League. Out of those 3 actually, how many of them do people think will play in the Premier League? Our wider team then, I think Nyambe will. Armstrong probably, although I don't think he will last long there. I have a bit of a soft spot for Keith. He was good under Trapattoni. His role was very straightforward, run around and be a nuisance. Nothing fancy.
  23. Checked the table there. Ya, we are 100% in a relegation battle Not good
  24. The presenter on sky made excuses for him. She said something along the lines of "what else could he have done with all the injuries etc". They were all being a bit protective. I would like to hear, say, Roy Keanes take on our current form and what the implications of that would be for a manager. The two lads last night were ok though, more critical than we have seen previously. It's unavoidable really. We are surely bottom of the form table of every team in the UK? Europe?
  25. I got the same impression
