  1. I wonder has that anything to do with him leaving Birmingham.....
  2. He dropped Mulgrew. Smallwood lost his place mid season and Graham was player of the year. What youngsters do you want used and where?
  3. Be interesting to see where he ends up. I think he made a huge mistake for his own career not staying here, but I think Johnson is more the type of player that we need.
  4. And how many of your "oldies"would be regular starters? Some man to move the goalposts
  5. ??? Yes. Have you forgotten about the windows before Mowbray arrived? I wouldn't blame you if you did.
  6. Or maybe accepting a bid and making one around the same time during the transfer window is just a perfectly normal thing?
  7. You left out two thirds of the squad I wonder why that is? Oh ya,it wouldn't suit your silly and incorrect argument to include them.
  8. Blackburn are expected to submit a formal bid for Southampton’s Sam Gallagher today, Sky Sports News understands. We revealed that Blackburn have been in talks with the Saints since last week – but there is also interest from Wigan. Southampton want a deal of around £5m for the former England U20 striker, who spent last season on loan at Birmingham City.
  9. The Duffer is the stand out. Not many more. Maybe I am forgetting someone
  10. Still work to do. The keeper and CB signings need to be good, but I think anyone who says we haven't progressed under Mowbray needs to compare that backbone to the one which lined out in Mowbrays first game. How many were frees loans and out of contract that summer? It was basically renford rejects Stick Ruddy or Carson in goals, Hanley centre half and that's a team I would expect to be solid top 10 at worst
  11. Going off his unveiling he is a bit of a character. The pictures on instagram make a change form the usual generic stuff. Both thumbs up, pointing at the crest, big smiles and a kiss from Benno. It will be good having someone with a bit of personality in the middle. Too many times last season lads were walking around with their heads down saying nothing when we needed someone to step up.
  12. He might fit in their wage structure, whereas an older keeper might not. I mean, you are implying that the mighty Brentford always get it right? It's not really like cairney though. He was never given a proper run here in his favourite position. Raya was and made a balls of it. Personally I would keep him, but I suspect he was told he wouldn't be automatic first choice and therefore decided to leave.
  13. Oh come on now, it's absolutely nowhere near on par with Friedel leaving. Friedel was one of our best players, saved us around 12 points a season, was a leader on and off the field and rarely if ever made mistakes.
  14. Ya, he would be the one the most question marks are over. He is a better full back than Williams though
  15. Oh stop. It must have been awful being at it. I was watching it on ifollow and I was just sitting with my mouth open as the meltdown commenced. I was like "how the f*** did that just happen?" I was after doing that thing where you look at the league table and work out where we would be if we won our next couple. I couldn't look at the table for a while after that!
  16. New keeper Nyambe Lenihan New CB Bell Johnson Travis Rothwell Dack Downing Graham We are getting there I think. A good mix of experience and youth. Decent bench too.
  17. Exactly. Guaranteed mistake in him in that game with the pressure on I reckon. Watch now he pulls off 10 World class, point blank saves.
  18. That's it. Lenihan and Dack would be almost impossible to replace, particularly Dack. Raya can be replaced. We have two good keepers in the under 23s now after signing that young lad off Everton. Scott Carson would be a good or possibly Rob Green, he just left Chelsea.
  19. I don't think I will ever forget what Raya did against Birmingham when he gave away the penalty. It was one of the worst unforced errors I have ever a player make. Firstly there was absolutely no reason to go for the ball and secondly he completely missed the ball. You could see the other rovers players were shell shocked by what they had seen. Ya De Gea made mistakes, but did he ever make one like that? I do like him though. He has amazing reflexes. He has a long way to go to be a top keeper.
