That's pretty much about the size of it!

Burnley pub renamed after Sean Dyche
Bigdoggsteel replied to Rogerb's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
The Fulham one is interesting. Personally I don't agree with sacking managers who win promotion after a few games in the league above. I think it's massively counter productive. Of course there are examples of times when it worked out, but it seems stupid to me to sack a manager who knows the club and who less than 6 months ago ,was doing enough to win promotion. Even if they do go down, he is generally the best man for the job in my opinion. Worked for the dingles. Anyway onto the Dingles. They are most definitely in a relegation battle. They will probably do just enough to stay up looking at some of the dross below them currently. Gonna be some sweaty 6 fingered palms though -
I am not presuming his end product is lacking, I am certain of it from what i have seen so far. He is doing everything right up until shooting or playing through a final ball. Could be nerves and once he gets the first goal or assist he will be up and running

Dack just shared a clip of Mulgrew on instagram and he appeared to be walking perfectly. Good to see

Championship 2018-19
Bigdoggsteel replied to Cherry Blue's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I am sure you could have gotten more out of that team than egg head! I remember Modeste having pretty much an open goal against Newcastle and putting it over. It was far out, but he really should have scored. We didn't actually play too badly that game, but I remember knowing we were doomed after it. Everything was pulling against us Jones was phenomenal. Not an Anderson client obviously though -
Very open about cheating on his wife also!

With regards to injuries I assume things will be assessed with calls made on Thursday or Friday
-
I think so too. A little cameo from 60 min on could do him the world of good. The opposition will be tiring and won't be as quick to pick him up as they will be marking other players, none of those doubling or tripling up

Championship 2018-19
Bigdoggsteel replied to Cherry Blue's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I was just talking about strikers, but ya, what an absolute unadulterated shit show. I actually think that Petrovic, Modeste and Vukcevic could have been good under a different manager though. Didn't we end up selling Dann for less than we signed him? Madness. Yak was a great signing, but the gloss was taken off due to relegation and the Kean link. I will never forget his 2 goals at Old trafford. I had a fiver on him to score 2 or more at 60/1. He had that done before half-time! Samba, Salgado and Nelsen all leaving then, tells it's own story. Rotten, rotten time supporting the club -
Championship 2018-19

We ended up with Goodwillie aka Scottish Rooney and Modeste on loan. Anyway, we could have signed the 3 above and we still would have went down with the idiot in charge. I have no doubt Robbie Keane had more sense than to come -
Luckily you are here to bring us back down to earth. What an odd comment,. Absolutely one of the most negative posters on here as you seem to do it just to go against certain posters, with very little substance. I don't see too much hubris, just fans enjoying having a team with work ethic in abundance and green shoots of quality coming though more with each and every game

Ran 11km in the Swansea game I read. I knew watching it that he was busting a gut to try and break up their play. I think he is growing into the Championship. Literally the engine of the team.

Championship 2018-19

Rondon, Papis Ciise and Robbie Keane being brought in. Jesus, our hopes weren't half gotten up were they? It says the article is written by "Sunday People". So much BS nobody would even put their name to it -
He does deserve it, but in his favoured role too. Its a tough call this week. Could we leave Dack out? He hasn't been playing as well as he can, but he is our talisman
-
I thought the same watching him. End product lacking, very dynamic and effective up until that though. If he sorts that out he will be a very useful player

An Assessment of Player Performance v West Brom
Bigdoggsteel replied to tonyoz's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Didnt Dack go close with the free though? Mowbray had the substitution instigated, you can't really just delay it for a lad to hit a free. You could go on and on delaying making a substitution waiting like that! Like, if we win a corner, does he stay on for that and on and on -
Ya, but he showed he is best centrally. Can we afford to drop Dack?

Venkys 7 years on...
Bigdoggsteel replied to sympatheticclaret's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Venkys basically took out their frustration at being swindled by Anderson and his crew out on the club, fans and town. The idiots. Thankfully Sir Tony has rocked up to turn things around in spite of them -
He obviously fancies him. He signed him and started him in our last game. He is just pointing out that he expects him to work harder definsivley, I don't think you can argue that in the middle;Smallwood, Reed and Evans all do more in that regard. I think it's turning into a straight fight between Armstrong and Rothwell for one of our "wing" positions. The "defensive one" will be filled by Reed(if he isn't' centrally and then who of Evans and Smallwood drop out??) or Bennett.
-
Would be harsh on Evans who was one of our better players up to now. A real dilemma has Tony. Add in whether Rothwell and Palmer should start. I don't envy Tony having to make these calls. Hopefully as many as possible of Raya, Mulgrew and Lenihan will be back.
-
Ya, tough job on his hands but great for the team. The pressure on our payers to keep their performance levels high is immense. I think Mowbray is doing well with rotating the squad and giving everyone game time, not easy to do at the moment

An Assessment of Player Performance v West Brom
Bigdoggsteel replied to tonyoz's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Thanks as usual. I was actually going to suggest player ratings, but you got there before me! Would you not give your own rating though instead of one from that website though. I would value your opinion more. -
And where does Dack play in this scenario?
-
QPR won't be relishing a trip to Ewood and will know that their winning run will be under serious pressure. I see the buzz and momentum of the battling draw against West brom rolling on here leading to a 3-1 win. Obviously it will be 2-1 until the 104th minute and we score a counter attack goal, after we have gone down to 8 players, Graham will be in goal and they will have hit the woodwork 7 times in the last 15 minutes. Rovers 3-1QPR. Dack x 2, Reed x 1

Watched a highlight reel there of Smallwood in goals. He had a nice bit to do! This team just grows and grows
