  1. He was just back from an injury though and had only played 45 minutes for us in around 3-4 games. The sensible option would have been to take the week to recover. I do understand that isn't easy though, especially with a competitive game, although I bet he would have went whether it was competitive or not
  2. Numerous articles online with quotes from Mulgrew saying he and many other players are under pressure from their club managers to withdraw from meaningless international games. Sounds like pretty sensible advice if you ask me and point proven if his injury is serious. He was literally just back from an injury and a week or two off from these internationals wouldn't have done him any harm. Sounds a bit stubborn to me https://www.google.ie/search?q=charlie+mulgrew&source=lnms&tbm=nws&sa=X&sqi=2&ved=0ahUKEwjStIzvv4DeAhUSca0KHQDpBGMQ_AUIDygC&biw=1366&bih=626
  3. I think most can handle people discussing his weaknesses(faults) but it's when posters come on and say things like he wouldn't be the man to take us on if he got us to the Premiership! He has done far, far more good than bad during his time here. IF he somehow got us promoted, he would be the only man for the job of keeping us up.
  4. Any official word on whether this is serious or not?
  5. Hopefully it's nothing major, but hamstring sounds ominous
  6. More like between his legs
  7. In fairness I pulled a few posters here on knee jerk reactions after the Sheffield united game, but to report it as Smith did in the LT there is irresponsible. He is bordering on Daily mail levels of BS
  8. I can't agree with you on Scholes there. He wasn't the master of sly fouls, just not able to tackle very well! I can whole heartily agree on the second point, Keane is nasty piece of work. I have very little time for him after first reneging on his deal to join Rovers and then walking out on Ireland in Saipan. My United supporting mates think he can do no wrong. That tackle on Haaland was disgusting.
  9. If the players or Mowbray read some of that stuff, I'm sure they would be perplexed. Granted it's an opinion piece, but you would see more factual and better thought out posts on here. In fact I haven't even seen the biggest of looneys on here come out and say we should replace Mowbray with Warnock.
  10. Cracking player but he couldn't tackle for shit and when he tried to foul, he was extremely blatant. Keane did the dirty work for him.
  11. Jaysus I wouldn't call Scholes a midfield hard man
  12. 6 and should he not have included himself? Go on DG lad
  13. Is that guy a journalist? Some really poor stuff in the LT today. In the below article there is the following line "You can question his tactics and interview skills but the fact is he has developed a mediocre Division One outfit into a potentially exciting team with realistic aspirations" Firstly who calls the championship division one still? Secondly, who questions his interview skills? I think he gives great interviews, granted I think he bigs the opposition up a bit too much, but I have heard nobody question his interview technique. Very odd. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/16975975.rovers-set-to-offer-tony-mowbray-a-new-contract-fan-reaction/?ref=mac
  14. I think he has a lot more to give as well
  15. He is great at knowing where to be in the box. The goal he got against Forest when Graham played it across he was literally on the line to tap it in
  16. Look at it this way, Smallwood does everything Lowe can do ,only better, and we are debating whether he should be in the team.
  17. Duffy a popular choice
  18. How is he a replacement if they play in different positions? If he was signed as a replacement, well then why didn't they take the money West Brom bid? You are putting 2 and 2 together and coming up with 3547. Your point makes absolutely no logical sense for many reasons.
  19. Embarrassingly I have never heard of any of them. Off to Google I go
  20. In or around the same if I recall correctly. When you see Villa being sold for 80 million, you would wonder what comes into the valuations. Not recent trophies anyway
  21. Very true and you will be respected more for doing so
  22. But you didn't merge the threads for a finish-you locked one. The 2 lads comments were after my post, so not sure why they disappeared.
  23. Shur look, we all know Nixon is an eejit. There is no conspiracy or dark forces at work here more so than any other club!
