  1. Is he a class above though? Really? Didn't you say Mowett was bog standard there a while back? Off to the promotion favourites now anyway
  2. No way. That's mental. He must have gotten about 700,000 followers since the Copa America?
  3. You can make that case I suppose, but you could also say he hasn't taken any opportunities he was given either, far from it. Looked well off the pace whenever I watched him play senior
  4. That means we are going to need at least 4-5 signings on top of that
  5. Says on the LT the new kits will be shown before the Flyde game
  6. Yes and posters here were saying he wasn't good enough LOL. Come on , put yer hands up
  7. Have you ever seen Bannon play? Completely different player than those 3 and I wouldn't categorise Davenport as being a DM , more of an 8 Bannon would be an absolutely cracking signing. I can see him getting better offers than here, so getting him would be a coup
  8. How many academy/ under 23 players do you predict will debut next season?
  9. Indeed, which makes the signing illogical Any word on a new head of recruitment?
  10. Depends on who else is in for him. Not as much no, but doesn't mean he will be one of our lower earners It's still not relevant to the point where any tenous link to the north east needs to be identified and mentioned for every player we are linked with, imo
  11. Wouldn't say his wages would be that low. I don't see why we need to mention that a player played for Boro at one point. I think it's pretty irrelevant. Plus if it's a good player he could be called Middles Boro and I wouldn't care
  12. There are ,but in this instance neither the player nor the manager knew what was actually in Chapman's original contract, which is a bit f**kin crazy
  13. It's a risk every season and it always bites us in the ass
  14. I know Mowbray wouldn't be that clever, just showing my team ;)
  15. Will we though? I fear it could be Mowbrays most muddled season to date. Trying to get the best bits of that formation and 4-3-3 and landing somewhere bad. It's difficult to see where Chapman fits into 4-3-3 alright though. I would go with this Kaminski Lenihan Ayala Wharton Nyambe Pickering (6) Travis (8) Davenport (10) Rothwell (or Buckley) Brereton Armstrong (or Gallagher) Basically 5-3-2
  16. Ya. It's illogical. If it goes well, which we want, then we lose him for nothing next summer. Unless there is an option of a year in the clubs favour, then again seems nobody knows whats in payers contacts, not players ,not the manager
  17. The most controversial thing about Reach imo is that he's a cross specialist. So are we going to start crossing it? Revolutionary
  18. Ok so we have gone from signing players from Boro being a problem ,to signing players who played for them at some stage being an issue? Come on people, there is plenty to actually bother us!
  19. That's weaker than last year. We definitely need another CM. If Travis and /or Johnson get injured that's a very fragile and light weight midfield
  20. He's in his office "mmm I was going to base my career on logic, operating in a functioning system that is delivering results above and beyond what was expected, but you know what Blackburn rovers were PL champions in 94/95 so, I mean, thats reason enough to ignore the possibility that working for arguably the worst owners in England is a huge risk!. I'm in"
  21. Clearly the Barnsley CEO has a lean set up, where he can make decisions quickly. Why would he come work for these clowns who delay every single decsion?
  22. He's not a Rovers fan though. Also, what does being PL champions have to do with anything? They got into the play offs last season and are more likely to next season. The training facilities ,hardly a reason for a CEO to leave. The current set up don't even think they are fit for purpose. Bigger wages didn't exactly help us last season, did it? Barnsley are miles ahead of us currently ,in all the metrics that matter. The only reason he would come would be for more money and then he would have to weigh up all the issues here, that any supporter who currently follows the club should be well aware of. Amateur set up. Any word on a head of recruitment yet? Over 5 months now since they knew the last guy was leaving.
  23. Come on third time asking, give one good reason why the Barnsley CEO would leave there to come here
  24. Bell isn't Mowbrays fault. He's just shite.
  25. Give me one good reason so. Was a simple question. Raising the issues of the current set up isn't "talking our great club down" ,it's being realistic and getting your head out of the sand, where yours seems to have been re-lodged of late
