  1. Which was my point. Those players aren't that great or else they would have commanded better wages at clubs that pay better money. Some think we have a team full of superstars just because Rothwell carries the ball 20 yards, Rodwell makes a cross field pass or Palmer does a step-over. We have no right to beat Bolton.
  2. Bolton aren't a 'good' side. Burnley aren't a 'good' side. But those teams and their managers win games because they play in a way that gives the opposition problems. Picking fault with a win and a clean sheet at a place we haven't won in a decade it's frankly a bit churlish. If anyone thinks we are going to play teams like Bolton off the park just because we have a loanee from Chelsea and Soton, a free from Sunderland and a free from Oxford is deluded. We aren't a great team who are going to pass the ball around for fun. We are doing well to be on 18 points. The Championship is a very competitive division. At home to Sheff Utd we didn't compete and got everything we deserved (as did the players who were dropped). Yesterday the players gave it everything and got the win their resolve and determination merited.
  3. I think Wilder is a Sheff Utd fan as well as being their manager.
  4. You haven't seen him enough to know what his game is all about. Mowbray plays with a target man or else AA would be playing every week 'off the shoulder'. Brereton quite obviously shows for the ball and did ok at times when it was played up to him the other night. I'm sure with his supposed pace he can also run in behind. You don't have to do one or the other. Strikers can do both.
  5. Some of us have been saying it for 12 months. Welcome to reality.
  6. Bolton were taught a lesson in finishing by Professor Dack at The University of Bolton Stadium (in Lancashire)
  7. Has he died? Probably explains his substitution.
  8. He's the troll formerly known as DunnFC. A wrong 'un.
  9. I'm not even sure why he keeps bringing up Preston when the derby in question is Bolton v Rovers. He is Scottish though so I suppose we'll have to humour him.
  10. 3rd best away record in the league.
  11. Mancs are from Manchester, not Bolton. Or Wigan.
  12. When BWFC started they were in Lancashire. When Greater Manchester has a cricket team we an call it a proper county. It's a local derby by definition. The end.
  13. oh it's definitely a derby. I think they're called 'local derbies'
  14. yes, when they are ready to.
  15. Excellent 3 points. 1st win there in a long time. We won so Mowbray got it right when he decided to shup up shop by bringing Smallwood and Evans on. Credit where it's due.
  16. More comebacks than Sinatra.
  17. Rodwell has hardly played for a year. Rothwell won't be match-fit either. No surprise either have come off
  18. Is that a bad thing?
  19. https://www.skysports.com/football/bolton-vs-blackburn/392676 Dack goal at '18:12' on this blog.
