  1. That bit was defo on the radio programme.
  2. A night time fixture. What could possibly go wrong.
  3. I forgot about the flex. Still, £10m for a lad who can't even run??. We've done well in the January sales.
  4. Marquis. He played well at Ewood against us last season. Another one someone in the Championship may take a punt on.
  5. Interesting to see how Brad Potts, Josh Ginnelly and Jayden Stockley do at PNE. All 3 have been signed from lower league clubs and are lads in their early twenties with league experience. Stockley was £750k as PNE met his release clause. Big target man who had about 13 goals this season in League 2.
  6. Current performances. I can't think of a player more integral to our system.
  7. He's absolutely nothing like him.
  8. He certainly needs a goal and a bit of confidence.
  9. Did Forest's local rag do a poll to see how many of their fans wanted him to stay? Just wondering where you got the 'large %' bit from? If a play from Rovers academy had the odd good game in the 1st team then no-one on here would want them sold. It wouldn't mean the player was any good. He started at Sheff Utd and was poor apparently.
  10. Quite different to a loan with a perm deal set in stone. He either didn't OK the BB deal or he's trying to give the impression he didn't.
  11. He only cost £1.8m form Exeter in July 2017. He's now worth a lot more than what we paid for BB and has been linked with Prem sides. Maupay cost them £1.6 and has also been linked with Prem sides. It makes a mockery of those that say £7m is the going rate for a striker in the Championship and that BB somehow represents good value (flex?).
  12. I think it's unfair to criticise BB. In todays market you have to pay at least £10m to get someone to come on and run around for ten minutes at the end of a match like he gives a shit. For £7m you just get someone who is a bit half-arsed and falls over.
  13. That's your reality. The two things are very different
  14. Exactly. The good will towards Mowbray is palpable for the match-going public...and beyond. I think everyone was as delighted for Mowbray as they were for the three points against WBA. Having a rant on here because his signing are a bit shit etc doesn't change that.
  15. Probably not, but if that man exists will Venky's appoint him. Definitely not.
  16. Able or allowed? In reality he's done exactly what Mowbray did...except Bowyer was able to keep us in the Championship.... but wasn't allowed to choose his own CEO. Bowyer did a very good job here. He had better players because he was able to spot them and buy them...and he was never given £10m to spend either. If you think Mowbray gets it rough you should have been on here for the Bowyer days. Apparently all we needed was a different manager and those players would have got promoted Then Lambert turned up...and then Coyle. What Mowbray has done a lot better than Bowyer is galvanise the fanbase and create a better spirit around the club. Team spirit and players 'playing for the badge' is obviously something he genuinely cares about and wants the players to care about. He wants the players to connect with the fans. I can't think of another manager who has done it as well. The club is all the better for it. We are now in a situation where people are getting twitchy again. Calling for Mowbray's head is ridiculous. Comparing now to Bowyer's reign (as a pejorative) is also ridiculous. I think Mowbray makes some odd decisions, talks utter bobbins on occasions and seems to be very average in the transfer market (being kind) but we are mid-table in the Championship. I don't really think anyone can expect any better unless we can find one of the very few managers (Dyche, Warnock etc) who seem able to turn average sides into promotion winning sides within 12 months. If Mowbray goes then it will be up to V's to get a new manager, and we know how badly that can go. People tend to forget that .
  17. You don't joke about the transfer window. That's some voodoo shit.
  18. Travis has completed 73 of 81 passes in his last two outings according to the LT. I think that may be the first time I've seen him for a whole game at Champ level and his composure on the ball really stands out.
  19. Graham ran his socks off today, defended from the front and held the ball up well.
  20. Well it must be true then. He actually defended well. Had J-Nob in his pocket, which is why he was subbed.
  21. Brilliant win. Travis was immense all the way through. No rash challenges, just composed play all the way through. Best bit was when a Baggie speed merchant tried to do him for pace 1st half and he just calmly brushed him aside and took the ball away. Class act. He passes the ball with pace which is always a sign of good player. Mowbray would be an utter moron to send him out on loan now. Did well to get their lad sent off too by staying down. Hopefully he's rapidly maturing. It's his shirt to lose, or at least it should be. AA was a lot better today. Used his pace to good effect. Lenihan was excellent too. It was a bit funny seeing Dack having a running argument with all his teammates then turning around to see he was being subbed! He was proper chuntering and shaking his head when he strolled off. Bit petulant really. Mogga put his arm round him at the final whistle so I think they've made up! Brilliant goal though. WBA were poor or we made them look poor. They have some big quick players but Barnes aside they didn't do much. Barnes was very good. Much needed win and J-Nob got subbed for being shite. Happy New Year!
  22. https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=bolton+v+oldham+youtube+1976&view=detail&mid=29E7F3203CACDE1EFC5829E7F3203CACDE1EFC58&FORM=VIRE Bit before my time but looks a brilliant crosser of a ball. Looks similar in style to Heighway. Proper old fashioned winger
