Am I missing something about this Gelhardt? 3 goals in 50 apps doesn't exactly scream to me that he's the answer to our problems, or anyone elses for that matter? I'd much rather go for someone with some actual experience of putting the ball in the net, even if that's only 10 goals a season. Same with the links to the likes of Kilkenny and Cantwell - does this actually solve any of the problems we have? Adding more flair players to a powder puff midfield isn't going to make it any harder to bypass. The links I'm seeing so far are major red flags for me in terms of what we're looking at, and I fully expect us to pull in a bunch of inexperienced loans on deadline day, continue to get pumped by awful teams who have worked out how to counter us, and for us to fall down the table. That said, the Hibs defender looks decent enough, I just don't see CB as a priority at the moment.

I was already in the JDT out camp and this just hammers it home. We play abysmal anti-football that creates zero and the team has no spine - saw the goal after 30 seconds and knew we were in for a pasting. Embarrassing capitulation after embarrassing capitulation. At least Mowbray managed to keep it close when we lost (Fulham hammering aside). Awful manager, even worse owners - the club has zero ambition and they wonder why every other club in the area sells more tickets.

Just came home to this, that might be the most embarrassing result I've seen since we dropped out of the Premier League. Get rid whilst we're still in a decent position. This team is going to fail to finish in the top 6 again but hail it as a positive. I'm beyond done at this point.

Looks like yet again we'll be scraping the barrel for mediocre loans then. Considering the position we're in, watching teams like Wigan, Blackpool and Preston get reasonable business done early whilst we will inevitably rush a bunch of average at best kids from PL clubs in on deadline day is just downright depressing.

Nothing to do with tbe squad for me. The football we play is regressive and doesn't work in this league. He is one dimensional and nearly half a season in still can't string more than half a passable game of football together. He said we'd see more consistency after the world cup and he was right - we've been consistently dreadful.

Yep, we have no ability to get back into games and now we've lost our ability to hold teams out. If we keep JDT we will be in a relegation battle before we know it.

We barely beat Boro when they were awful, and it certainly looks like our one-dimensional, hyper-negative football has been sussed out. Possibly one of those where we luck out, but a pasting and the pressure cranking up on JDT is more likely. In any case, I'll keep an eye on the score but I'm done spending money just to watch us make no effort to actually try to do anything. The whole JDT style of football that was promised is a complete myth - even Big Sam was more positive.

Stop looking at the position and look at the number of losses, then look at how many of those losses where we conceded 3 or more, or had basically no shots. We are in even more false a position than last year, any owners with ambition would pot him and go for broke whilst we have a chance.

Get JDT gone. Yeg another no show away from home where we make no effort to actually win the game. The fact we are where we are in the league is criminal and purely on luck rather than judgement.

At least Chris Brown could bring others into the game. Hirst might genuinely be the most ineffective player at the club.

The football we play is pure entertainment thievery. We create nothing and either grind out a fluke and sit on the lead or we get smacked about without a hope. It's amazing they even show us tbh.
