Much as I want it, a nice comfortable win, would be so welcome, especially if Luton lose in the early kick off, as that would put us back in the top 6. I honestly don't see us winning it and either a one goal defeat or a low soring draw is most likely. Another thing to mention, for those who have said that we are not getting into the top 6 by design, as the owners are happy staying in the championship. Getting into the play offs is likely to mean we are still in the same league next year, as we would come up against Forest or Bournemouth, if one of those finishes outside of the top two. Therefore if we are intent in staying in this league, surely a semi final off loss, would put some funds into the coffers. -
The trust could point this sort of thing out and plenty of other things too, such as how the ground is falling apart and how to avoid players contracts down and allowing them to leave for nothing. Of course the chances are, their calls for some dialogue will be ignored and they will bumble along, making the same mistakes, with whoever fills the hot seat next. It could be called receiving bad advice, but when good advice is on offer, free of charge, but it is ignored, you have to wonder if it is being done on purpose, or someone other than the owners, does not want to come to the table and be exposed.

It’s a shame the decision makers at the club are ostriches. People in positions of power are damaging the club. It’s a free ride for far too many, who are not doing their job and don’t care about the future of the club either. Mowbray has got away with far too much for far too long and it’s about time the club was run properly. The latest trust letter will no doubt go ignored and the crucial decision on the manager, come the end of this season, is highly likely to end up with an appointment based on the wrong criteria, a la cheap, or from the usual connections. If only the owners had 10% of the passion, some fans have, we would be fine, but sadly, they want to carry on throwing money at it, in the same ostrich type fashion too. Clueless from top to bottom, is the current theme and this is likely to continue this way for the foreseeable future.

It’s an interesting slant on the happy clappers theme. I have never really thought that deeply about why some people post positives all the time. Say it as you see it is my view and no harm in criticism, if it seems that things are wrong. In my view some people at the club, are causing damage and need to be potted.

I see us losing this and still getting feeble excuses from our leader. -
The goals for column is very telling. If I didn't know what had gone on, I would have thought the players had given up. Football without goals, is pretty stale.

The silence is deafening on the Johnson one. His Twitter posted, which was fully justified in my opinion, probably means he won't be seen in the squad again. Whether or not that's caused some sort of mutiny I do now know, but there is something evidently wrong since then, so perhaps there has been.

I’m no body language expert, but think I can smell quite a bit of bullshit in that interview. I suspect, like you that someone rolled him out to try to cover up some hidden agenda. I have always thought that there was someone in the background, pulling strings and this interview tells me, that this was and probably still is the case.

I tend to agree. Not many gave a brave type of performance yesterday and it looked like it was either the managers lack of motivation, or heads were elsewhere. Perhaps a deal is all but done for a transfer to bigger and better things.

I took the match in as part of a 10 day trip to the UK from Spain and took my son and Grandson with me. It was about as I expected in terms of the result, as I wasn’t confident of us getting the much needed 3 points. The performance was very poor and there was very little excitement in the entire match. I thought we were very shaky at the back, toothless in attack and had a lightweight midfield. Several players under performed with Pickering looking out of his depth, Travis having the be worst game I have seen him have in a Rovers shirt and Rothwell seemed to have anything, but the game on his mind. I thought we were lucky to be ahead at the break and lucky to get a point in the end. That was not a performance from a team putting everything in for their manager. Perhaps the players have given up on the manager and are simply going through the motions. It was good to meet up with a few friends and also to have a chat with Renzo, the Chilean musician, who was on a table in Jacks kitchen. it will be my last visit to Ewood this season and I hope next time I am there, we have a manager who does have the drive and desire to instill into the players, which is sadly lacking at the minute. I can accept being undone by better teams, but this year’s capitulation, is purely down to the manager and lack of desire from above to either call him out or get rid. Its sad to see the mediocrity around the club and to the people who are complicit in this, hang your heads in shame.

In the words of our manager apart from the first one, which is my word. But this is Blackburn Rovers.

Current odds on Sky bet for a top 2 finish. Bournemouth 1/7 Nottingham Forest 8/1 Middlesbrough 25/1 Huddersfield 28/1 Sheffield Utd 33/1 Luton Town 100/1 Blackburn 200/1
-
Bournemouth would have to lose 3 of their last 8 so long as the don't lose to Forest and if the beat Forest, I would say it is all over. I see wins for them at Ewood, home to Coventry, Boro and Millwall.
-
I have, but with the cushion they have, can't seem the blowing it.
-
Bournemouth have us at Ewood second to last fixture and I am hoping they are up by then. If they need to win to clinch second and we need to win to give us a sniff of sixth in our last game, I know who I would fancy being happy at the final whistle.
-
No way will that happen in my opinion. Forest are 8 points behind Bournemouth and both have 8 to play. Fulham and Bournemouth will be top 2.
-
We won’t need to win all 6. I can’t see us getting 6th but 4 wins would do. We will need to win on Saturday and Good Friday, to give us a platform and a chance. I can’t see us winning both though.
-
Looking at that post as a whole, Gallagher might well have been signed, due to his initials being the same as our all time record goal scorer. I am not seeing any other reason just now.
-
It’s a pivotal day Saturday. I don’t fancy our chances at Coventry, especially after the latest injury news. If the 7 away games without scoring turns to 8 and the 2 or 3 of the other games go against us, the fat lady will be in fine voice.

Interesting stuff. I know the centenary season was celebrated in the promotion winning 1974/75 season. If we earmark the 2024/25 season, does that not cover all bases?

Imagine if organisation X has a family member who he can convince people that he is a Myles better player than he really is. Sign him up, pay him Myles more money than he is really worth and then get the people in the know questioning why the money left the club. Said player could turn up at a non league club, dripping in gold and driving valuable cars, If the fans of the club, spotted that the player was not up to scratch, then you could call up your friends in the media and get a nice little slot on a sports show to accuse the fans of not giving him a chance. A few tears here and there should do if anyone needs convincing of how awful these fans were for not giving him a chance. After all these fans are a racist bunch too, so if they will stoop to that, then they will quite easily hound a top 5 premier league player out, leaving him to ply his trade in the sixth or seventh tier.
