v Huddersfield (a) 10/4/23 @ 12.30pm

I can’t see anything other than a defeat here and at better than 2/1 it might be a case of lump on and drown my sorrows with the profit. We seem to be the nearly men still, despite the change in the management structure. Adam Wharton must start and I will be very pissed off, if he doesn’t. Hopefully BBD is being fed Paella and Tapas, as we speak and it gives him the energy he has been lacking. Gally should be on the bench and Dolan should be given a start with the instructions to make life as uncomfortable as he can for their back four. The first goal will be crucial, concede early and we will fold. If we are still in the top six after Monday my Tuesday morning run, will me in the nude. -

Awe sounds a bit like orr, but I have to say, that guy was my least favorite player in my time watching Rovers. -

Adam definitely has that touch of start quality, you could see that again today. He should be given a chance. -

A win puts us in a very strong position, but a draw is certainly not a disaster. Hope we go for it and effectively put Norwich out of contention. -

I am beginning to wonder what is happening with Adam Wharton. The rumors about his spat after the Burnley game, are perhaps true, as he simply seems to have been frozen out ever since. I know he has had an injury, but why was he not at least on the bench? From the limited times I have seen him, he deserves another go and think he could well have done a better job than some in this game and definitely want to see him play some part in the next two. If there has been a fall out, surely that can now been forgotten and forgiven. Let’s get him involved and see if he can build on his good, albeit limited start. -
Here is a story about the latest accounts. Welcome or not, we need them to write off the debt and move on, I think. Blackburn Rovers financial accounts for 2021/22 published | Lancashire Telegraph

The Flintstone, don’t use any petrol and if you go by horse, a few carrots and a bit of hay sorts it. -
You would hope so, but none the less, not a nice thing to happen
-
It may well not be nonsense. Damaging the facilities has happened before, so let’s face it, giving them a smaller area to cause the damage, may well work out saving more money, than they would make on the extra 7,000 tickets.
-
What we should really have done is given them to 2,000 free of charge. That way, the club have offered a friendly gesture to them, that they would never repeat and those missing out, would be even more pissed off.
-
I don't want to sound like I am undermining you here in any way, but would you mind clarifying? Can you perhaps highlight 5 things that have turned them to rock bottom 6 years ago (your words) to being in the top 10% of current owners?
-
I guess with Sheff United, it could be what is the best thing not to pay, the players wages or the instalment on a transfer fee, owed for a player they signed. Which ever way you look at it, they have taken on a liability they could not afford and should be faced with the consequences.

I broke my femur playing football at school. The sports teacher made we walk (Limp dragging my leg almost) home about 2 miles. My late mother who was about 4'10" almost throttled him, the following day, as I lay in traction in Blackburn Royal. -

I know our friends down the road have run away with the league this season, but everyone else is capable of beating each other. Its great seeing Rovers complete at the top end again and today was a day to enjoy, despite the result. -

I’ve had time to calm down and stop shaking. What a brilliant game and a brilliant advert for championship football. That will be the best quarter final. To be ahead with less than 10 minutes left, the lose, leaves m close to tears. To reflect on the performance and the recent league form, makes me proud of the team again. I have not been this excited about a game, since the take over and actually thought I had lost my love for the club. I hope we can dust ourselves down, make the play offs and get promoted. We are good enough to do that. A word on the ref, you great bottle job, that was a second yellow for Robinson and that’s what costs us, despite what happened after, -

The Italian lad who scored their goal looked a good player. It was mentioned on Rovers TV that he was on loan from Chelsea and you can see he has star quality. I think we have a real gem in Wharton and I am looking forward to him coming back into the team. I had a chat with Scott a whole ago and he said at the time, he did not consider himself the best footballer in his family. I also spoke to a youth team coach about him and he said how good a prospect he was. For those who have watched him in the youth teams, I am sure you know better than I do, as I have only seen his appearances, in the first team, but I genuinely believe from what I have seen, that he is the real deal. -

Absolutely. He has been frustrating at times, but his performance last night was at least 7/10. Happy to see him starting again and like other players, dropping him, might have given him time to reflect and get his act together. -
Seems fair enough to me. I hope we can reciprocate with the result too.

It has just struck me, the FA Cup game on Saturday, now takes on some extra significance. It is the financial cheats derby.
